Sparky has been and gone, he'll be back monday or tuesday.:D He's told me to do one room at a time but i think i'll push him for both when he's out.;)
Now a nice long bath, west coast cooler and bed, i really can't wait.:jSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
j... Dr has signed me off for a week. BP is low a...and said I just need rest. I feel a bit of a fraud but am relieved.
There is no need to feel a fraud Rach - you're growing a baby for heaven's sake. Knowing the sort of commute you do to work, it's not surprising you're tired - put those feet up and incubate that baby! xxPenelope_Penguin wrote: »If it were me, I'd deleteoff the list for the time being
Note to self - cross Penelope Penguin off your Christmas card list
I'm here, I'm fine - just exceedingly broke and marginally depressed about that. Seems I'm now too old to get a proper job.... I have also been busy - with the voluntary stuff (I am leading the planning of an event on 10th July) which, unfortunately, does not pay the bills. But hey ho.
I currently have a banana cake ~go me! - polishes fingernails casually but self-importantly~ in the oven. DiL's Grandma is in the country for a month or so. Of course I had to do the "she must come visit" thing.
Given she speaks no English (apart from Hello) I decided dinner with two way translations would be too tedious so I settled on inviting her over for a traditional English tea at 3pm tomorrow with Dil's parents as accompanying translaters. Finger sandwiches, scones, cream, jam, cake the lot.
Thank goodness the weather is set fair so we can take tea in the garden. If I'm really lucky, there'll be a cricket match on at the field the other side of the bottom garden fence. How English will that be? Cucumber and smoked salmon finger sandwiches (no ham because she's Muslem) with scones etc. AND the thock of leather on willow and the occasional cry of Howzat!?
Hope all are well, haven't had time to catch up much other than above - but there was something about Valli and an important text???I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Soappie keeping everything crossed for gainful employment and hope tea on the lawn is just divine. I like cricket (good job too with my kids - actually they are currently playing badders on the lawn - where is Mudders?)
About to dispatch DH to the loft to get the car boot stuff down. Then I'll have my second glass of wine. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Visited the venue today. The place is really nice, but I'm a bit worried, because we were dealing with the assistant operations manager, and Moon said he'd pay the £300 now, and then we had lunch there which was really nice, and not very expensive either, and went back down to see said manager, and he said he'd spoken to his manager, and that his manager wanted to give us a call tonight, and for him to not take any money yet! Needless to say, the manager hasn't called, and I've just called there and he will call us tomorrow morning, but I'm a bit concerned that they are going to turn around now and say they can't do it or something! Very stressful, as I thought us going in today would seal the deal. :mad:Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
