FED UP....what on earth is happening in this s.h.e.e.t. hole, now the blooming downstairs window has gone wierd...the side metal arm seems to have buckled so its open on an angle and won't shut...or move !!!!!!:mad:
Been to look at some cookers....options are
1. replace worktops and kick boards and get a 90 cm space and a 90 cm cooker and hood....money/time/stress and finding someone to do this job
2. replace worktops, put in a wine rack or summat and get a 60 cm cooker ~ cheaper ish but ditto the above
3. find another elusive 80 cm cooker
I don't know what to do and I'm getting beyond fed up with this crappie house and everything never being simple.
I HATE THIS HOUSE.....we have to move before my head blows off with it all.
Every room has something wrong with it, badly decorated and a advocado green bathroom suite, I just have had enough.:(
Whats the point in working to live in THIS!!!!
Sorry, just fighting a tide of overwhelmedness and disenchantment...too scared to have work men in as we always get ripped off and I always feel guilty because its me that usually organises it all....can't win.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
((((hugs)))) Triker
Don't make a decision now, but I suggest you go for the smaller cooker if you can't find an 80cm one, and then deal with the space later. 10cm each side isn't going to be a major issue in the immediate future (apart from the fact you'll drop stuff down there!)0 -
It says it is going to chuck it down on Milton Kenyes on Sunday, so might not be car booting. If I don't go then it will give me more time for ebay listing!!
Triker you sound well fed up.:( Would a Wolfy (((HUG))) help at all?
I'm all finished list-wise; starving hungry, but Mr LW won't be in til after 18:30, so got a while to wait for my dins yet.

Yes I do always talk to my canine guests. Sidney was quite vocal himself (I gather miniature Schnauzers do tend to be) and I ended up having conversations with him!:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I only managed to make some lunch for DS1 before we had to go for DS2's 1 hr  appointment (developmental assessment), which went really well. No major concerns, and he may be discharged after the next one (in 12 months).
Since then I've decluttered an ice-lolly, a biscuit and a cuppa. Pegged washing out and put WM on again. It's less than an hour before we need to go to MIL's. She'll look after DS2 for me while I have my hair cut. DH is having a short nap upstairs before going back to work, so I might have another QHC or two downstairs. There are two huge hot spots in the LR, some washing up to be done in the kitchen, and the DR of doom is really one big hot spot. If I start at half past, I can manage 15 min in each.0 -

I would go for the bigger cooker.. you don't need new work surfaces just slice some off the one you have.. ditto kick boards.
The hood can wait...
I can ask my uncle to come do it if you want? Or I can find a man who can?.. I know a few men
Nothing is ever simple.. it isn't just your house, and when it is combined with excessive heat and feeling floppy it just seems so overwhelming!
I've got the beetles buzzing off to KH's until Sunday later if you need to come sneak out for a fizzy pop?
