Greenbee and Rach..I spoke to my neighbour who was working in his garden. He said a council worker had come up the street and pulled the bin out but there was no van came up the street with him.
I phoned the council and they said it was the paper collection team that had been round and that the glass team would be coming later. That doesn't explain why my bin was dragged into the middle of the road and left there. Also I could hear the crashing noises of glass bins being emptied around the estate and these have now stopped.

Another call to the recycling team required I think.

Right need to get the rugats motivated so I can go an get some shopping

Morning all. It's a lovely day again, getting too warm for me though. I've done four loads of washing, including all my throws!

Polished computer desk and in the living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Made Diva's apple cake. Haven't tried it yet but it smells nice :)

Hope everyone's OK, still catching up. Hopefully the vet will ring again later with the rest of my dog's results but it may be tomorrow.

Oh and DH has got a sore throat now so he must be getting my cold, I thought he'd got away with it.

Vet just rang to say her other results are all normal and "remarkable for a 15 year old dog". Liver and kidneys working fine, not anaemic. So without further (expensive) tests there's no knowing what could be wrong and I've said no to that. As long as she's happy I don't want her going through lots of poking and prodding just out of interest. If she gets further symptoms we'll take it from there. I always feel guilty saying no to a vet, it makes me feel as though I'm being really mean. Money is important, but if it guaranteed a good result it would be worth it. More important is her comfort and right now she's comfortable and that's good enough for me.

  • Thursday and Friday done!

(Shocked, as it must be [STRIKE]WEEKS[/STRIKE] over a month since anything has really been attempted)

DD2 off to her Dad's tonight (exKH2). They will have a birthday BBQ for her, where he drinks too much, burns the burgers and tells everyone how he is going to get a job paying mega bucks overseas and he'll be taking DD2 with him, except for the fact that it's just a bit too early in her schooling right now, so he's staying in the OK-ish/pays the mortgage barely job that he has now, 'just until this time next year'.

I shall be meeting up with some of the rest of my tutorial group this evening for - get this -

A Champagne Picnic by the Thames!!!!

    How fun is that?!

[we shall ignore the fact that once the champers is gone, it shall most likely degenerate into a Stella 'n' cider fest in the nearest pub, culminating in my rolling home in the wee small hours, stumbling into a black cab for the last stretch back from the station]

    Have a lovely evening JoJo
Greenbee - how many for the bottle bank :p?
Valli - I liked the cat smiley very much
rach - it is hard work being pg in the summer but you need to rest. Workaholic me ended up being signed off and never really went back because I just wouldn't listen. Pre-children I was as bad as Greenbee :D

DH asked me to draw up a division of labour list for the house work :):A and is insisting on doing school runs next week so if I end up full time they are used to the change. Today we are clearing junk mountain from the patio to the tip. Two runs should clear the lot - this has only been on the list since November so really pleased. Next I am going to move the limestone mountian so he can get to his forge - if he can be smithing stuff then he can be building up stock which opens up more options for everyone :D.

I still have a whole house emergency clean to do by Sunday morning!
