had the most rubbish flylady day ever... changed my bed, did some laundry, and repotted some plants. i have spent most of the day glued to sky news, in complete disbelief at what has unfolded here in rural little cumbria:(

ETA I have marked my optional SATS
    all of them

and my sister who is a teacher with more experience than me and has moderated SATS and is assessment co-ordinator in HER school has scanned one for me and agreed with my level...I felt it churlish to ask her to scan more BUT the one she scanned is the level I will most likely have to defend my mark for ;) and a good result for the child concerned.

and in a state of UTTER rebellion

    I HAVEN'T

    made my bed!

    *blush*

mummyoftwo (and all those up there) it has been an awful day for you all...

    hi all

have only read the last 2 pages but I can remember....

hex good news, spotted it on fb too. I am sure something will turn up for him when you need it to, I'm with dusty!

valli - i'd go natural otherwise you have to live up to it later!

soappie - you sound down, hope all is ok.

Not the best day for me today, but pales into insignificance compared to the events in Cumbria. Suffice to say I nearly passed out on the hot train (why the hell do they have the heating on when it's hot outside), thankfully train wasn't too busy as it was the tail end of the commute. Then again when I got to work, ended up crying all over my (male) colleague! Phoned Drs and lovely receptionist was great and put a note through to Dr who said they want to see me tomorrow, thanks to serena also for the encouragement on this. SUre it's nothing much but tempted to get signed off for a week or so, will see what they say.

got home and dh had got me a lovely bunch of flowers. :)

flying, well we changed the bed, tidied and hoovered through last night. windows have been opened so some things off the list! I put the clean bedding away tonight too.

    night all x

    are yorkshire men nice then?

Well my Yorkshire man was THE BEST :D I didn't only lose him I lost my bestest friend in the whole wide world. And as for fake or otherwise I would always go with the 'this is me, take it or leave it' approach. That way there are no lies or illusions to keep up. Those who are worth anything wouldn't expect anything less.

I'm seriously thinking of asking Toots to put me on Lurker status. I don't want to get chucked off the Flylady list

NOT ON YOUR NELLY do you hear me?! You contribute to this like the rest of us. I am one of the worst when it comes to even vaguely following the lists. The main thing is you are doing some flying and you are getting the support of us. You can't leave ;)

    Good evening!

Had a great day out at Crich, W loved riding up and down on the trams and amusing all who would listen to him :rotfl:It has been lovely and warm but not too hot. He is now bathed and collapsed in bed and I shan't be far behind him!

Just seen the news about the terrible incident in Cumbria today :(

One day behind this week. Off to bed soon so that I can set the alarm to do Wednesday on Thursday morning!

LW, I am ridiculously lame at posting and even reading if I'm honest, but I participate as best I can given my extremely busy life.

Don't leave! I read you, and I think you're lovely xx

    4. 15 minutes sort out of the landing gibble.. see if you can find something to rehome!
Have emptied chest from dining room and slung a black bag of gibble in the bin. Moved chest from dining room into spare room, and moved chest of drawers from spare room into the garden. Will need to take it to the tip at the weekend...might put it on freecycle actually and see if I can get someone to take it for me....

Have moved my sisters boxes which are here upstairs to the spare room - she can unpack them herself when she gets here!

Have also done three loads of washing (then run out of washing liquid/powder!) and dried then and folded - then I put the littleys stuff away.....mine is on my bed and will put it away when I go upstairs. I have no time to do ironing, but MAY be inclined to do some this weekend. No promises though :p

Rubbish is out, recycling is out, as is the food waste bin. 13 shoe boxes are out to the cardboard recycling too. :o:rotfl: empty....I should add. :D

Have gathered up a load of paperwork which seems to have been breeding in the dining room, shredded the carp and put the important stuff (but not needing dealt with) into a box for now. Im thinking I might put a desk in the dining room so that there is somewhere for all this stuff to go and be dealt with properly instead of being shuffled round the house.

However thats a job for another day me thinks.....

Night all - will be back soon - promise ;)

    xx

The news is absolutely awful today, just wanted to check if everyone is ok, I know we have some ladies in Cumbria. Have been watching the news all day feeling more and more sad. Some of the eyewitness accounts are awful, won't relate them here, as don't want to upset anyone, and it's being broadcast enough on TV. Has anyone heard from Poohbear and other Cumbrians today?

Have been doing quite well with flying today, washing up is under control, cleaned the bathroom blind - it was awful and took 45 mins to clean it slat by slat! - and put a load of washing on. Have also stripped bed, going to remake it now so I can go to sleep.

Hope you are all ok, don't have nightmares. Love and hugs to you all xx

It is going to be a long night

DS3 has earache, I've got a sore throat and DH has got a cold coming on. This is unheard of territory.

Lamewolf - look around you, they often isn't a whole load of flying going on so don't feel bad. We call it the flylady thread and take it in turns to do a bit of 'light' housework and the rest of the time we take it in turns to have crisis and the others support us. I hope you stay because we need you too.

    Evening all

My internet connection was awkward again this afternoon, so I couldn't post for a while, then lost another long post. It's been a good day here, though.

DS2 has had a haircut and 3 new pairs of shoes (school shoes, trainers and sandals).
Flying: 15 min each in kitchen (x2), bathroom, LR, DR, more laundry, meals and clearing up afterwards.
Lots of tidying and planting in garden.

Bedtime in a minute, I think. Lots of hugs to Diva, toots, L-L and all flyladies in Cumbria.
