Afternoon all. This half term lark is blooming expensive! I have just blown £73 quid in build a bear and £40 in Lush ( and £5.70 for 40mins parking in Leeds!!). Looks like it's soup and beans on toast for the rest of the week :o.

I treated the twins for trying hard in their SATS to a trip to build a bear. DS1 went for Camo bear complete with digital camoflage combats, shades and desert boots and DS2 plumped for the magnificent monkey and a safari outfit. Stoopidly expensive but very adorable. I was amazed that they actually wanted one. We had orginally goe in to get something for my neice. The twins start high school in September and I think I need to start toughening them up a bit and stop treating them like my little babies :o.

Right, where have II'm having a day in Norwich tomorrow with DD, DS and his GF, no build a bear but DD has already started ordering!

What Lush goodies did you get - I'm an addict but there are still some I havent tried!

    Ok flying

Have hoovered downstairs hall (the rest of it!) dining room kitchen tuility and cloakroom
Have washed up bits and pieces in kitchen
Loaded DW with the rest and put on
Am making Ciabatta bread (from a mix) but its not rising :( so may not be too nice
Have managed prepping tea while I took a long phone call about the case I'm working on so thats out of the way.

Just waiting for tea now. Guess I could go and make spare room habitable fo DS' GF
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    Same old, same old

Did the work thing. Was actually busy for once. I had a gazillion assignments back from marking and realised after the first one or two that there were Discrepancies in the marks.

Cue phone call to programme leader and programme leader's appearance in office toute suite to sort it out. Took us an hour but we got it right in the end (she even let ME do the adding up because I was so much faster that her!)

Lordy me, I need to get a life......

Ours gave me their mobile number. What the hell do they think will happen when you go into labour??

I am not booked in anywhere so I can just turn up wherever I like and they can panic about it! lol

I was told today they can't do it the GP has to.. but you have to ring at 8am for a docs appt and I am either asleep or getting the chimps ready for school.. I have this argument with them every time I need an appointment!

    Evening,

Thought I should report my achievements so far (they don't really look very much though!)

DD had her first MW appointment today. I text her earlier to see how it went but the MW was still there. She says it went ok. She is very short with me at the moment, not seen her at all since she came over to get her books a few weeks ago. Slowly getting used to the fact that I will be a Grandma who has a 4 year old child lol.

Took DD2 to the indoor play area today and then popped into my old work. Was nice chatting to them. I did send DD's father an email that I will be going if he wanted to see her but apparently he didn't get it til about 3.30pm. Oh well, his loss as I won't be going down there again for a while and he isn't coming here! I told him in no uncertain terms that I am not interested in talking to him if he turned up. I don't want to be friends with him, he keeps fishing for information from me about my life. Well he isn't getting it.

Valli I had the same request from Julie, still don't know who she is though.

Carlsbergal Danny's skingraft looks horrible, I hope he recovers well. Will he go to Headley Court after? Bet you wouldn't be too sad to if he decided to leave but if I was him I wouldn't just leave. Maybe he could go for medical discharge instead.

Jo Jo Big Hugs to you, but I think they all will eventually come back when they see the grass is certainly not greener on the other side. I had mega problems with my DS when he was your DD's age. I ended up throwing him out and he lived in supported accommodation. Now he is 19 and grown up a lot. Whilst he still has his faults he is a lot better and when he comes to see me I can't get rid off him!

Hugs to anyone who needs them!

    ooh, much excitement!

DH was formally put on leave today pending redundancy :D:D:D. He hates his job so great from a morale point of view. I don't care if we lose the house, just good to see him looking so much happier.

My diversion activities included buying two david austin roses, and doing ltos of washing

Very true Dusty, have been watching it unfolding on the news from not long after midday. It is horrific:(
