Cycling Yorkie - What a selfish so and so! I'm truly shocked!
Jackywizz - the opposite of above. How lovely of him!

I've made 2 shepherd's pies. A children's version and a grown up's version. It went down so well the kids have eaten over half of the spicy version in addition to all of the kids pie. DH may have a small portion if he's lucky. DD1 is still out so she will go hungry. I think the boyfriend is in hiding as he didn't make his planned appearance with the lot of them at 2pm.

Anyone for 2 growing boys? Reasonably clean, very untidy, eat for England???

BF is coming over tomorrow with her 6 offspring - better get cooking again!

    Hello peeps

Been busy and just making time for a quick flick through.

Really envious of all of you who have managed to get out in the garden as first we had rain then it got out but was cold and windy and I was in the depths of the washing and cooking by then.

jacky - lucky you, its the best way to buy jewellery if you can get it. When I went to get a ring resized the jeweller offered me £2500 for it, I said no even though I'd only paid £200 for it second hand as it was bought with the money my nanna gave me after grandad died.

cyclingyorkie - thats awful but it doesnt surprise me. DH will sometimes say I think I fancy xyz for tea, I then have to ask if he's cooking for all of us!

well done to all of you flying as it sounds like it has been a really productive day.

Lemon cake and rainbow cake made. Half lemon cake eaten already, rainbow cake only just out.

    Still feeding WM and TD

Question For those that use silicone bakeware, do your cakes come out with a shiny crust on the edge. I just had to cut the edge off the rainbow cake as it looked awful (the edge not the cake, although you've got to have a strong stomach I think if offered a piece - err which colour cake would you like, slice of blue, green, purple :rotfl:)

right tea still cooking better go check on it and gett DD back from doogie walking
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

cyclingyorkie~~ I think it is catching, OH has just moaned at me, whilst I was sorting out what to cook tonight, that he has had to spend the day on his own as I was in the garden all day!!! :( hello the house has doors to the garden, you could have come out and 1.) helped 2.) sat on a chair and talked to me.

You know as much as I love him, sometimes you just cannot win!

And yes I am cooking both of us chicken curry!

Back home.. still no sign of peaches so I can see myself going door knocking later.

Lamewolf.. no excuses I also specified VISITING a friend special for you wussy types who moan about using the phone.. it doesn't bite you, you know! :p

Best get the WM's turned on I guess and play catch up on the kitchen gibble.

Was dragged off to Costco this morning by OH's mum.. stocked up on wipes and got the baby thermometer that I wanted so I can cross that off my very long list. Being evil I also insisted OH get a new pair of jeans so he looks tidy at least every so often lol.. he gets trainers next and he really needs a few more pairs of trousers. I got DD2 a doodle type book thing for her birthday in July too.. or I may put it away for christmas depending what she gets for her birthday. My feet are now suitably poofy.

Had a lazy day, schlepping about and reading in the garden when the sun came out. Back indoors when it disappeared behind a cloud again, then outside again. Like a bloomin' yo yo I was.

Thanks for the job vibes - please keep them coming.

Oh, and BB has to visit the vet tomorrow. She has developed a lump. It's different to the one last time and not as big so I'm hoping it's OK. It's on her head near her ear. But, vet it is just to be on the safe side...

    3. Changed bed
    4. Thoroughly cleaned bathroom
    5. Dusted down stairs
    6. Sorted and folded and put away laundry, made large ironing pile but I don't do it OH does!!
    7. Tidied and cleaned kitchen
8, cooked tea (so kitchen now needs doing again!LOL)

We gave hundreds to a local guy for free a few weeks ago when we cleared OHs dad's house out, wish we'd known that. We did give loads of other stuff to a local charity shop though.

  • Would it be ok to join in again. I have fallen off the wagon in spectacular fashion over the last couple of weeks so my house once again looks like I have been burgled and we are living on ready prepared foods that we can't afford.

I REALLY need a kick to get back into it again.
