does it just say don't call? pls

The text says what I typed in post 1637 (back a page now!). I had clicked on it from my phone when it first came in. Seems the whole 3 site went down for a while - it now says "Sorry, Three.co.uk is currently unavailable because we're doing some essential maintenance work."

Hmmm... Has the three.co.uk website got a fault or are they updating something...?

I'm currently with 3. My contract runs out on 2nd August, so I'm in the 'upgrade' window. I've registered my interest on the 3 site. I've just had a text message through which says:
    Your iPhone 4: Coming soon

Following your interest in iPhone 4, we're pleased to tell you that you'll get one as an upgrade.

You've probably heard that the phone is in huge demand. So to make sure you're one of the first to get the iPhone 4 on Three, we've reserved one specifically for you.

And we'll be in contact in the next few days to confirm so you don't have to worry about calling us in the meantime.

    Terms apply.

Interesting! I await prices etc, but if it will only be on a 24 months contract I might go elsewhere, like say vodafone for a 18 month contract...
    Same

From 3: Great news. You'll get an iPhone 4 upgrade and we've already reserved one for you. Find out more http://mobile1.three.co.uk/comms/ip/b

    yea!

thats good isnt it at least they bother to do something for you as a customer

i just got this email from 3

index_10.gif Thanks for registering your interest in iPhone 4 on Three. The positive feedback we've already received from customers, staff and media following our announcement has been fantastic. We will be announcing our prices later this week and we'll be back in touch with more details.

just had an online chat with 3 to ask if the phone I have reserved with them can be picked up from a 3 store on Thursday- did't get an answer other than they are not taking preorders but if I wanted to preorder online to check back online in a few hours ??

So maybe something will happen today- or maybe it won't, will keep an eye on it?
  • Has anyone downloaded iOS 4 yet? I am still waiting for mine to download!

Hopefully they have learnt from the HTC Desire fiasco where they wouldn't let existing customers upgrade and gave new cistomers a £22 pound per month tariff with free handset which they have now withdrawn once they allowed upgrade for customers who wanted the Desire

£22 per month for iPhone with no handset cost would be good, but unlikely

I was with them for 18 months and they were fine for reception and I'm in an area where I couldn't even get T-Mobile in the downstairs of my house and had to go upstairs whenever I wanted to use my mobile!! So 3 were miles better than T-Mobile.

I currently have Vodafone and the reception is fine where I live, but I have heard that on the iphone the reception isn't as good - but surely it's all from the same mast??

3 and T-Mobiles 3G network coverage should be the same as they both share their 3G networks with each other.
