morning all

well its been busy hasnt it! doesnt loks like im getting a payg although would love a sim free one- 499 is just too steep for me

so noone still any the wiser on the network pre orders?

Got my iphone 16gb for £499 pre-ordered from apple site. Took me about about an hour mind.......grrr

Price is very steep imho, thinking about selling it on eBay when i get it for profit then re-buying it later in July for cheaper lol

Waiting to see what prices are announced by the networks is getting too tedious for me. I'm going out for a bit and hope that when I come back the networks will have full pricing for PAYG and contracts so we can all make the right decisions!

Note to networks: I will be back by lunch and expect you to have some news for me!

The wait is killing me! Come on networks, show us the prices! I would just like to ask something about FaceTime. It says only wifi connection is required. Does this mean you don't actually use your network to talk on FaceTime? Like for example if I were to go on holiday, you could just find a wifi point and call home free? Or is it just the picture that is sent over wifi?

I have reserved one in my local 3Store. No deposit to pay and no obligation to buy so if it's cheaper elsewhere on release day then no worries. From what the guy in the shop was saying they are more than confident they will blow the competition out of the water.....................Can't say im so confident that there will be much difference but we shall see.

Well, apple Web site now says "we'll be back soon"!
You can still reserve for store pickup
Interestingly, PAYG only available on o2/orange according to the reservation. Not clear whether buying through networks will be any cheaper or have any special offers, e.g 3GS had internet/wifi free for a year on PAYG....
