No probs, didn't want to have upset anyone!!! As I said, haven't tried mine yet but the other ones OK so far. Had 2g, 3g and 3gs and they all have teething problems so its par for the course. And am annoyed about the vinyl skin delay as I'm reknowned locally for my leopard print iphone!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance:

I think you are missing the point(s), I know very few iphone users in comparison to the number sold but I am assuming you also know very few, hence my tongue in cheek question.

You were de-bunking the article purely because no one you know has the problem. If the problem exists and how wide scale it is wasn't even the point of the article or when I posted it, the point was, apple were blaming the user once again.

No the point was an apple employee was doing that, as far as I know there has been no official statement from apple saying this EXACT reason feel free to correct with the official apple statement if I am wrong.

No because they can't risk looking as foolish as they did after Steve told users to hold their phone differently after the reception problems. I doubt the apple employee just made it up himself.

I think you can tell by the tone of the article (well i could anyway) that it wasn't meant to be taken so seriously with comments like light shining between users ears.

Don't worry, I'm not trying to diss your purchase if you got one (I haven't read the whole thread so don't know but you sound like an iphone user). Don't take things so seriously, I was just trying to lighten the mood

I understand, nah havn't got one yet but my free one is due soon, converted to iphone after I was given a 3GS my son recieved from a client as a gift, I binned my HTC 1hr later (also free) My own choice, for it's price yep it is a bit high but that worries me not, for free it is I think overall the best around once jailbroken. Now the ipad I regard as the Dogs wotsits this agin was a freebee from one of my clients and it was the top one, I wouldnt be without it now jailbroken it is a magic piece of kit. As for the light situation, maybe that explains the glow in the eyes of people who have just bought one

Same here! Have been holding out as I really want a white one. I had booked the release date off and was going to queue but when apple said at the last minute that the white ones were delayed I decided to wait. Hopefully they don't keep us in the dark for too long!

I'm in the same boat, keep checking a few times a day but nothing seems to be emrging, I presume Apple are just going to say it's out when it's out rather than do any pre-order type thing. Having said that it could end up being a while yet as even if it is released next week (some posts on other forums have guessed at 16th-ish) then will it be only available from Apple sim-free or will the shops/networks have it already? I'm waiting to get white 16gb on the Tesco £20 per month deal but the stock is still sporadic on the black one so might end up having to wait a month or 2 yet but I hope not!
