if it was just about the car then i would have thought they would leave it till a reasonable time i personally think it is something else, you need to find out or sort out why they keep coming to you

Seems OTT to me. They obviously didn't have better things to do!
If there's a problem with the car remaining there, the council should just tow/clamp it for fines or impounding. The price of scrap is good these days, so it ought to be worth it for them.

they woke you at 5.25am about an abandoned car which you had already dealt with!!! I am sorry but i find that funny - all the drugs raids around here happen at the more respectable time of 7.00am! they must suspect your OH of being a terrorist! its not your fault or indeed your OHs fault hun what time the police choose to harrass you. it IS harrassment. complain! over a car????unbelievable!!!

Yeah, get a Human Rights lawyer on the job. It might just be that the abandoned car was being broken into and vandalised, but how dare the police come and bother you about your ex's car. It is not your problem.

Well known for it Im afraid . I had a CPO banging on my door a few months ago , because my son had sampled some deodorant . It was 9am Sunday morning .. Oh and she was nothing but a jumped up nobody , when I refused to answer ..

Not that I disrespect the police , but some of them have a little too much "attitude "

What does "sampled some deodorant" mean? Thanks.

  • Probably means the ex is giving your address out to the police, etc, when stopped.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Not that I disrespect you, but sounds like you have some "attitude" as well.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
  • To the original poster I would suggest that there may be more to this thabn meets the eye and knocking at such an early hour normally only happens when it is urgaent, i.e. the person is wanted, death inform messages etc.
Write or go into your local Police station and adise them of what happended and request that an entry is made onto his computerised file on their force system which updates his address and states that your address is not to be used for future correspondence, bail address etc.

Hopefully this will stop the early morning knocks, if not then you can make a complaint - under the terms of the policing pledge they must acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours.

Mandi, 'sampling a deodorant' sounds very much like theft - is it any different to going into a bakers and eating half a pasty?
The socially acceptable norm in this country is to pay for goods before you use them.
I know a lot of people will think that nobody would be bothered by a little bit of deodorant, however is a Community Police Officer (or you may have meant Police Communty Support Officer) attended your address it would imply that the shop has called the Police and reported the incident.
Costing the government and tax payers everywhere for the priviledge of dealing with the theft of a squirt of deodorant.

Rant over, but some peoples lack of personal responsibility regarding parenting should be a criminal offence.
