Yes, but they didn't write it - so the words are not theirs.

I think I would tell the friend that I couldn't clean for her any more and spend that time on my own house.

scuse me? bit confused here? you are actually paying two cleaners to come and clean for YOU while you go and clean for someone else?
and its just for an hour?
couldnt you just cut back an hour or so on your own job? this seems silly to me - like a mechanic paying someone else to fix his car while he fixes someone elses?
unless you are earning MUCH more per hour - in which case why underpay someone else?

Lol i know it sounds odd but there is logic..in my head anyway.
I work 5 days per week 6am-6pm so by the time i have just tidied the house it is about 6.30pm, then i have to sort dd out, dinner, school stuff, paperwork etc and it was all just getting too much. They come and do 1 hour and yes there are 2 of them (so efectively 2 hours) and they charge what they charge i never told them what i was going to pay them.

My cleaning job is an employed job which i have been at for years and runs from 6am-8am so no chance of anyone coming in at that time anyway!

The point is the house is cleaned and tidy come friday when i can relax for the weekend rather than start doing our own house.

Ha sorry didn't see the other posts sticking up for me!..basically like i said above the floors are mopped like anyone does, the floors are hoovered and the kitchen is cleaned BUT whereas i had time to give it a proper clean i now scoot over it quickly and could see the dust etc mounting up. Like i said i am quite anal over it and love the fact everyone that comes round loves our house..i guess as a cleaner i dont want to see it going downhill due to me leaving it all.

I am a childminder and this week i have from 8am till 6pm:
    Mon: 4 children
    Tue: 4 children
    Wed: 4 children
    Thur: 6 children
    Fri: 4 children

2 of them are young twins so it is impossible to actually clean anything like with the older ones..hence it getting left!..again like i said i have tried doing it over the last 2 weeks as a trial and it hasn't worked! Last thing i want to do after they have all gone is clean anymore! also another reason to get one was my income is now so good we can easily afford one so why not!

1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I used to be a cleaner with my own little business and got £10 an hour but i used to everything for that tiles, windows. I know some cleaners won't do windows..the only thing i didn't do was move heavy furniture to hoover. I was always turning work away as i only wanted part time to fit with the family but i had to give it up due to health problem.

I could do an average semi in 2 hours on my own but worked flat out no breaks, so it seems your cleaners are not are not going full out. It should easily be done one up and one down.

But i could never have anyone clean mine as i am way to picky and would always find fault :D But funnily enough i'm not as anal with my own house...too much like a busman's holiday!

I'm a cleaner for a real clean queen. Whatever i do isn't good enough for her because she really does have very high standards, absolutely because it's her house and she pays me. I just don't see things she does so what works for us is when she writes down exactly what she wants doing. I for example don't dust the inside of the doorframes because it doesn't occur to me and I would never in a million years have thought to hoover the backs of the photo frames.

I do now because I know what she wants doing. Might be worth stating exactly what you would like to be done
Sadly, you don't have any badges yet but keep trying! See what you could get........... oh boo hoo I am crying into my wine. :D
