    Morning Everyone

Must admit the 'homework' has made me realise just how much I have rather than how much I lack. Clearly some room for improvement in my life but I seem to see it from a glass half full perspective now. Thanks Elantan :)

It's working this way for me too; in fact I keep going back to the wheel and inching another thing up a little bit :)

The hardest thing I'm finding is the being honest part - not that I don't want to be, but identifying what is true now, as opposed to long-held thoughts about what is, or long-held thoughts of what should be. This last part is seriously hindering the second part of the homework!

The only thing that I can really identify at the moment that would have the biggest impact on all other areas of my life would be to have a clear mind. Like DC, I feel befuzzled!

I had a go at the burnout test on the mind tools website and came out 2 off the maximum . It's certainly gone some way to clarifying my thoughts about work (it's also made me see that some of my colleagues are pretty close to burnout too - think I'll be a bit kinder to them when I go back to work). It's also made me think about burnout in other parts of my life and I think I'm close, and that I need to look at things a bit more holistically.

I've been looking at some of the stress management tools on the mind tools website (thanks bob :)) and I'm going to give myself time to try some things out, as well as some smaller practical things to make life easier.

I think this is going to be a long journey (but strangely I don't seem to mind :)).

:hello::hello::hello: Dragon and Elantan have shepherded me over here :D

Slight problem in joining in - I've just spoken to my conveyancer, and he says we'll be ready to move by next week :eek::eek: (well, he'll be ready to send me the contract, I'll be ready to move :D)

Gulp... its really here. Its going to happen  I'd better rush off and start packing something... but good luck to all, the aims on this are lovely, and before I spoke to the conveyancer I was having a look at that link on mindtools.com.

    Afternoon everyone :)

Having realised from homework part one that I really needed to start with improving my social life (a sad 3), and being quite shy I decided to confront my demons and say hello to at least one person each day who I recognised but had never spoken to before. Went to the gym and 2 such people spoke to me as soon as I walked in! Must be the 'approachable' vibes I was sending out lol :D

Hm I used to meditate in happier times, also quite a follower of the dao de jing......or was I happier because I meditated?

I'm in if it's not too late. Need to focus as plodding along day to day is driving me nuts!
