I obviously wasn't sure of the site/competition, becuase i gave them my name as Juliet not julie. Helps me see if I thought was a bit iffy at the start, iyswim.
Please please, no one give them a reply.
If you gave fake details, can you remember which comp it was from?
Might help find the culprit who is selling on details.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I got it last night, the address was my mums house - as far as I can remember I've never used that one for comp entries so lost as to where they got it from - although it is the address my car was insured at until a few weeks ago. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

This email came from libbeyangusty723@yahoo.com
I used the email headers and got the IP address (125.25.204.204) for a place in Thailand. If you still have these emails, check to see what IP address they came from. You can do this using this website
aruljohn.com/info/howtofindipaddress/
When youve found out how to get the IP address from the email, simply scroll to the bottom and put it into the box and select your provider (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo) and the site will do the rest. Then post the results here! If there all the same we should be able to get in touch with this ISP and have the account suspended0 -
I received this e-mail to. I can also say that I have never signed up to anything connected to this site except for valued opinions, which was mentioned on a thread here once. Which i should also point out I got my first piece of junk mail in the mail ever, shortly after signing up for. So i'm guessing they have something to do with it.0

On the subject of selling on details....it is possible that this information was simply lifted from the electoral register as it is freely available on the web.....just a thought!

I had the same email as OP at home last night. Forwarded it to a friend in the police because I was concerned they had my address and I'm VERY careful about giving it online. He has forwarded it to the Economic Crime unit in the local force so I recommend you all go the same route.:money: Dedicated disciple of MoneySavingExpert.com and Savvy MoneySaver :A
