To shed a little light, I got the same but addressed to my "fake" home address (almost the same as one of my previous addresses). I obviously wasn't sure of the site/competition, becuase i gave them my name as Juliet not julie. Helps me see if I thought was a bit iffy at the start, iyswim.

Please please, no one give them a reply.

I only got 8k ish - can't check as deleted it, but the website to input details was a different one.

Did someone sell our mails on? this is not very nice with address etc and probably phone numbers too?

A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!

I got this too although I'm not sure what e-mail address it came from. I have no idea either how they got my details. They even had the flat number of my address right!!

Pity cos I could be doing with the cash!!! lol!!

    Hi

Just signed up here after 'googling' the email I recieved this morning.

Interestingly the domain was only registered this morning (4.42am) and there seems to be quite a few of these emails popping up across the interweb.

If someone can track down the common site that appears to have sold on our data I would be very interested to know.

    Thanks

    Rob

(Great site here by the way, visited it many times but needed to register to post!)

Edit: No nearer to finding the site involved, but.... I have found some interesting reading.

The company mentioned at the bottom of the page on ukgrants.eu (this is the site I was told to visit in my email) is "Caddish Rondeaux Enterprises Ltd".

Now obviously this could have been a lie but I did a little research on them. It appears they are well known for being a 'scamming' company.

The company behind them (fed-pack.com) have, in fact, been mentioned previously on moneysavingexpert

    here - forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?p=28662845

The site links at the bottom of ukgrants.eu link back to fed-pack.com too so that would support this theory.

For anyone thats interested, the company (Caddish Rondeaux Enterprises Ltd) has the following business information.

    CADDISH RONDEAUX ENTERPRISES LIMITED

    Telephone: 01475 072801-07757 183666

Address: 18 MILLFIELD COURT, BLACKHILL, CONSETT, COUNTY DURHAM, DH8 8TN

    Anyone live in Durham?!

I haven't called either of those numbers as I think I will just get palmed off but feel free to try and post your feedback!

    Hello again

Putting this in as a reply because I think adding to my previous post would make it all too long!

Found further information on these people.

I have found another company named Tidal Wave Media that is registered at the same Durham address. Business Reg Info --> ukdata.com/numbers/06965788.html

I visited their website and found a post on its 'blog' that I could not believe I was reading! (link below) It appears that this 'Jason Hendricks' person is claiming to have be misrepresented in connection with these emails and the companies behind them.

    link here - tidalwavemedia.com/blog/google-home-income-scammers-now-using-my-name-to-rip-people-off.htm#more-112

It sounds believable but not when he has both companies registered to the same address.

Last thing I will be posting on this is the whois info for tidalwavemedia.com but would be interesting to find out the connection between Durham and Arizona?!

I have had one of these emails today too, its obviously come from some competition we have all entered and must be MSE connected somehow and all our details have been sold on which I am not happy about at all! I had one from GeorgiaGroundsvk774@yahoo.com. apparently I can have 14660.00 that i would never have to repay and apply at the usual website etc etc etc.

It actually came into my normal mailbox and I sent it to junk email straight away.

I've just received a similar email addressed to a "Frank Skinner" from "letta steffy" (lettasteffydl534@yahoo.com) with an address that is probably around a mile away from my own but still in the same town. I'd also like to know how they not only have my email address but seem to know what town I am from. Has somebody's mailing list been leaked?

It appears the amount of money is random if everyone has a different amount.

People selling mailing lists from this site?
