There was a Wallis glitch a bit ago. They owned up to it, apologised but said they had to cancel the oreder and gave me a code for something like 30% off next shop. I've actually become a decent customer of theirs - this crowd I'd not touch with the proverbial bargepole - and I was actually looking for a cheap spare phone. Now got one elsewhere.0 -
Myself and Oh both did an order for phones, using same account but different cards. His has been cancelled mine has not. Only difference is that mine have the top up and his do not. Could not for the life of me get it to work twice!
So having a look at the message he received it notes about insufficient funds. Think they may have it a bit wrong there! So miffed that they are trying to fob us off with pathetic and rubbish excuse!0 -
I used a perfectly good credit card with no outstanding balance and very high credit limitand my order was cancelled due to non acceptance or insufficient funds. Sounds like a subject for BBC watchdog. Maybe Martin could take this up. I assume somehow they have made money out of it.0

Just got this,
"Our records show that your order has been cancelled. Due to data protection, we are unable to provide specific information for the cancellation, however, generally, reasons include failing to meet the network providers criteria, credit status, lack of funds. Any monies debited will automatically be refunded within 10 working days. We am sorry that we cannot help you further with this matter."
"We am sorry" what a bunch of cowboys with bad grammar skills!!!
To be honest, I'm glad it's been cancelled, i feel a sense of relief. :j0 -
Just checked with my card company and the payment was not declined and dial-a-phone submitted a charge for £1 which will be finalised in 2 to 3 days. Is this fraud and should it be passed to someone in authority?0
