well i got a sleep ... headache seems to be easing slowly thankfully

have graduated from year two of uni .. yay.. now to tell them i wont be back lol ...

on the insurance front could do with some ... if it was me i would's please...

we have been offered a cash settlement and a voucher settlement the cash settlement is £1700 less than the voucher settlement ... i dont know if i will want to replace the jewelry that was stolen ... i cant they were mine and i loved them ... so i dont know if i will ever bother with the jewelry ... being robbed reminded me that things come and go ... so i dont think i will ever have expensive jewelry ever again ... but £1700 is a big difference in a payout isnt it ?

I have just stumbled across this diary as I have fibroids, too. I have just chickened out of a uterine fibroid embolisation op today. I am losing weight and have lost 31/2 stone in 2 years! Yes it is taking far too long.

Have you got a link to the site you found about the diet. I knew about the oestrogen which is worrying as my mum died of breast cancer, but she wasn't overweight. I have also been reading up on exercise being the best way to reduce oestrogen especially with weight loss. Now mum wasn't overweight, but hated exercise! So I am going to get on the exercise bike later, I am supremly unfit!!!

It looks like my fibroid might have not grown in the last year as I had an ultrasound in feb 2009 and it was 5 cm and MRI in march 2010 and it was 5.2cm. As ultrasounds aren't that accurate and MRI's are the gold standard I would say I hope it has stopped growing. I do have awful problems though and on heavy nights have to wear tena pants!Sorry TMI I have PCOS which means insulin resistance too etc.

Would like to join you on the lose freddy fibroid front.

    hi patchwork welcome ...

the information i got was from various sites that i had googled over the course of a few days and wrote down... so i am sorry i dont have links ... exercise is on of the best things you can do to help shrink the fibroid ... i have bought myself the shred (be prepared for swearing on that front) to try and help me loose weight because yes losing weight is very important

you have done great i see ...you might think it a little slow but better slow than going the other way ... why is it it's so easy to put on and dambed hard to loose ... what are you doing to loose yours?

fantastic news that your fibroid only grew .5 cm you are deff doing the right things ... would love it if you shared your story and if we could join on the way ... have buffy helping me with the chocolate (she is doing good too) so all the help and support we can give each other the better ...

not tmi on the tena front i have had to resort to the same thing and i miss having the intimacy with my husband so much ... i think that is what is spurring me on lol

on the diet front well i made my first bean soup accirding to the recipe ... then i tasted it ... it was ok but missing a few things ... so.... i added red lentils aubergines peppers lecithin mushrooms garlic curry powder chilli powder ... it tastes sooooo much better and is much more filling ... think that is half my problem with weight control i need to feel full up and content

Its a massive difference! I think first I'd challenge that .... ask them to explain their reasoning. And then I'd have to take into account whether I wanted to replace it (you said you don't - it was the items themselves that had sentimental value, I think?). I'd hope they would up the cash offer - and I'd go all the way to whatever ombudsman, for instance, I could - and then I don't know - a combination of paying off some debt and buying myself something special - not jewellery - but to remind me of what was.

Hope that helps - in your situation, thats what I'd do. And I'd also sleep on it, and write in my journal about it, tbh....

Should also have said, that no matter what their reasoning was, I'd find a way to challenge it - maybe they can get cheap deals on jewellery, whatever - but you shouldn't be suffering because of their financial dealings - there was an insurance company that didn't want to compensate me when they'd taken 3 months to refund some money they'd taken to cover 3 days, because I hadn't suffered financially - I pay off that credit card every month - so I said to them, why should I suffer without compensation because I'm financially prudent? It was about £300, so it was a lot of money to "give" them for 3 months - and that worked, I got a fiver off them.

there's loads of lovely places in Poole, all the beaches are fab there's about 6 miles of beaches that belong to Poole (and NOT to Bournemouth). Poole park is lovely, there's Corfe Castle, Wareham is pretty, we went on the river there but theres a lovely walk along the river. there's a steam train which you can get on at Corfe and then it takes you to Swanage where there's another beach.
Lulworth Cove is great, it's a pebble beach but it's where they find lots of fossils. You're also near the New Forest which has lots of lovely walks.
on Poole Harbour they have a couple of events each week, i know tues is motorbikes, and i'm sure the other day was either Fri or thurs but not sure what's on then.
Wimborne is lovely, has a minister. It's also where my dad found a baby (just some historical information :)
it's a lovely place basically with loads to do and see depending on what you like.
