what an amazing day i had today ... getting back to nature and learning is so good for the soul ... just to feel the wind on your face the birds in the trees and the trees rustling ... it takes alot to beat that
my old boss that i worked for while on placement (wish she was my real boss) brought me over some willow as well so i am going to make a wigaloo eventually ... but also a screen to give more privacy for us in the garden ... hiding in the willow was a leech ... i have my first pet in years people ... yay ... so now i need to find out what leeches like (ponds i would imagine lol )
i have wanted a wee pond for a while now to try and encourage frogs toads and newts but couldnt quite talk hubby into it ... he said he thought ponds were smelly etc ... but now i have a leech i might talk him into it he he he
Sorry but i miss read that and thought good for Mr.El not weeing in pond:rotfl::rotfl: I have put my glasses on now:D
Glad you had a nice day:)Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
bob i cant even get mr el to wee in the compost bin ... stupid !!!!!! insists all his pee goes down the toilet .... or on the floor next to the toilet ... or on the wall next to the toilet ... or on the ... well you get my drift0
-
just checked the bank accounts ... things are grim up north ... where does the money go ... yeah i know i bought things for the house ... paint for the rusty gate and the windowcills ... screws for the blinds that need put up ( have new neighbours and they are using one of the rooms that look into our bathroom ... the other family didnt yikes) and other must have odds and sods ...
but why is it ... i live a relatively frugal life and yet the money disappears faster than houdini ....
spending diary time me thinks ... so i can trace the pennies down0 -
I think I may be just about to find out how frugal ... Time to write it all down ... This generally is a good place for that0

It is the little things that add up to big spending deficits, el.
But the good thing is that you can cut out the little things far easier than cuttting out the bigger ones, without compromising your existance!
Have a good weekend

Good point, Hypno - El, your spending diary will give you back your power, which is always good! Your nature day sounds fantastic. Have you named the leech yet? :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It sure is .... Today I spent £5 on a basket weaving class ... Have made two willow platters ... I think I will be making this a regular thing .... Had a great day and learned alot....!
Today I harvested my first courgette can't wait to taste it... Yesterday I harvested 4 chillis and 1 pepper ... I'm getting roughly 6 strawberries a day and enough lettuce everyday to feed us
I'm really enjoying the garden ... But not so much the weeding and dealing with jk lol0 -
