I'm as fine as can be expected.
What diet did you use to eliminate sugar?..it must have been pretty hard as nearly everything has sugar in it.
Did your Dr say what was causing the dizzy spells?.....mine turns out to be low blood pressure and the heat and that I need to keep my blood sugar level so he wants me to eat 5 to 6 times a day ..which is hard...
Hope you find what it is your looking for to help your condition...I d

    Sorry pressed wrong button..lol

I don't believe in supplements myself and would rather get whatever I need naturally from food....I don't trust the chemical forms but each to their own.

totally agree taxi i am not into the chemical companies making money from me either .... but the things i have looked into might need some more research to find where i can get them from naturally ... serrapetase is a digestive enzyme that breaks up fibrin but it is derived from the silk worm ... dont fancy eating silk worms lol ... so i will need to try and find another natural source of serrapetase ... i am able to get the other things from a natural source or atleast not a tablet .. like unsulphered organic black strap molasses ... i am losing alot of blood and i need to deal with that before i am left with an iron deficiency that needs dealt with (possibly have one already) ...

i am planning on doing a few things

firstly colonic irrigation ( 3 sessions atleast) to clear the bowel of toxins ... reading the info i have found about fibroids toxins could be a problem ...

i am planning on taking milk thistle and using dandelion weeds (i already do this ) in salads to cleanse the liver

then it will be a case of healthy eating and excercise ... paying particluar attention to eating beans .... fingers crossed

oh the diet i tried to eliminate sugar is a brilliant one but it is really hard ... its a book called eat to live by dr. joel furnham .... it explains a lot of the problems sugar can cause etc ... good book and would recommend it but i warn you the 6 week system clear out is hard going ... i have given up as within a week the dizzy spells stopped ... then as soon as i started with sugar they came right back so it is obviously sugar that is my problem there so i am now looking at a more permanent solution that will be workable for me

well we went for a lovely meal to the indians last night ... hubby son and myself ... it was nice to spend some quality time with the family ... came home and son fell sound asleep on the couch he was shattered ... hubby and i went to bed watched a film then fell straight asleep as well ... we must be getting old

ok have done more research into fibroids etc and went to holland and barret ... yes i know they are not the best and i didnt buy alot there will need to go online for a better supplier ... but i have things like black strap molasses now to help with the iron deficiency and i have some apple cider vinegar to help with the removal of oestrogen from the fat cells... both of which i know taste awful ... and today i am going to start with getting an eating regime organised ...

so i am looking for a list of meals ...

    28 breakfasts
    28 lunches
    28 main meals
    56 snack type things

all have to be vegetarian ... all have to be healthy ... i need to include beans alot (lima beans kidney beans etc) .. .if i am to do this i need to ensure i am not eating the same 4 meals otherwise i will go nuts ... so if i have 28 meals that is effectively a month's supply of different food ... yes i will eat some of the same things a few times in a month but that will be through choice

so if anyone has any recipes suggestions etc i would be grateful
  • Hi El I am still on the no chocolate thing, two things I have noticed, less headaches and less dizzy spells. I think I will go back to the chocolate in moderation next month, but I do think it has encouraged me to eat better. You stuff sounds v complicated hope you are alright, and sorry I have no suggestions am pants at cooking xxxx

buffy thanks for getting back to me i often wonder how yours is going have been dipping in and out of your diary ... so how often will you have chocolate then ? will you have it say once a week?

i think no chocolate will be part of the new way of eating for me to be honest ... caffeine is one of the things i will need to look at ... and dairy products ... i am hoping to avoid it but i might have to go vegan ... or mainly vegan at least
  • I really admire people who can cut out food, I just can't - I mean I have with the chocolate was so impressed yesterday picked up a chocolate cake and then realised and put it back! But long term I am considering just eating dark chocolate? Sainsburys do a 27p bar which is lovely and you don't need to eat as much. I do miss the "treat" element of it all. I find it odd tho how relatively easy it has been to give it up.

I have made some changes I guess, whole wheat pasta, more veg, less tea(I really like drinking hot water now - would prefer it to tea which is a huge change)

Hope someone comes up with recipes

    best go shopping actually

27p is not too bad at all ... and with the dark chocolate you really dont need to eat as much at all which is an added bonus ..

have to say though when it comes to the "treat" idea i started looking at it as "is it really a treat to be damaging your body " that kinda helped me a bit ... although i will admit i am still having sugar ... but that will change

with your hot water put maybe a wee slice of ginger and a slice of lemon in it ... it is lovely very refreshing, good for you and cheap as a wee added bonus
