Well,
I've got to tell someone as i'm chuffed - joined the plenty of fish site yesterday and within a couple of hours had been contacted by 3 lovely ladies!
So thanks for the recommendation!!0 -
awwww (((((((((HUGS)))))))) emzzi, know exactly what you are going through as I got dumped 2 weeks ago by ( in my eyes ) Mr Right - as usual I got it wrong!. Cried over him for a few days, friends were great, after a few days decided sod him and got back onto the dating site
wish I had lost 5lbs though
so since re joining the dating site my ex has been back in touch ( desperate maybe but not that bliddy desperate ) and another guy that I never met but chatted to has got back in touch so am meeting him for lunch later on this week. It has made me feel a whole lot better getting back out there so to speak but thats just me. You need to go through the motions and then when you are ready get back out there - Mr Right maybe just under your nose but sometimes you just have to give him a gentle kick up the backside! Thanks for this thread though, I have been paying to meet losers at least now I can meet them for free :rotfl:

I met my gf on jdate.com (jewish dating site) and we're about to hit our year together in 3 weeks. I did have an idea once that you can reduce the cost of dating sites by joining their affliate program...
e.g.

If you have a website, put a link, then join yourself through that link. You get 75% of the money back! Not tried it myself but I thought it was a good idea. If you have friends who want to join, split the rebate money.0 -
Cool to hear so many stories of meeting husbands on the internet. I met my b/f through a webforum and people are always intrigued when we tell them that, but 2.5 years later it's still all good.
Emmzi what about getting a group of friends to gether and going to Lisdoonevarna matchmaking festival in Ireland? My sister lives near there and says it'a amazing! The last flights to Shannon I bought to see my sis cost 1p plus taxes with Ryanair, and once you get there events are free and you can even go to see the town's matchmaker....
