What can you do with left over cooked basmati rice??
edit: I too am multi tasking - on here, washing up, kettle on for cuppa, and earhole out for the kids! might check out the footie aswell, but as its DS1's team I can also listen out for the "oos and aarrgs" & of course the famous "you're aving a laugh ref?!"0 -
:j Congratulations Miss Pink-Winged :j
That is great news. Good luck to those whose results are about to arrive.

Kazonline wrote:Oh Kiwichick - that's so gutting! I'm with tootles on this - I really think you need to get a second opinion. It doesn't seem right that an appliance that is only 18months old isn't covered by a warranty of some sort.
Perhaps someone on here can advise you? Isn't there a board for DIY and homeimprovements etc? Perhaps there's a plumber on there that can advise you?
Kaz x
I seem to remember that on the Motley Fool, Living Below your means or DIY, there is some kind of Gas/Plumbing expert who gives some really sound & knowlegeable advice.

He's Mike4 or Mike The Boilerman, he's given us good advice in the past.

Hi Everyone,
First time I've posted in a while. Have been popping in for a browse every couple of days though. Have had a busy day at work, but was OS at lunch time picking 2lb of elderberries and 1lb of blackberries for jam/jelly making. Also trying to get ready for holiday in Poole at the end of the week. Looking forward to it.
Nice to be back on board.. Powie:DA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -

Evening everyone.
Welcome back powie and well done Miss Pink!!
I won't have time to post in the morning so here I am now, I'm feeling quite proud of myself as I managed to cook tea and only needed DH to dish up, I've managed one load of washing and one of drying, and made lunches to take with us tomorrow and all mostly one handed although I did hurt myself a little when I was pulling the chicken off the bone. I've discovered it's that pincer movement that causes most grief
Off to Wiltshire tomorrow to visit Longleat, DH has never driven there before so I am bricking myself as I hate his driving when he does know where he is going. I must fish the passport tickets out before I go to bed, thanks again Mr THopefully it shouldn't cost us too much with free entrance and taking our lunch.
Only 4 more trips to do after this one, I can't believe the summer holiday has gone so quickly. Meeting up again with Kaz on the 31stI can't believe she wants to see me and my brood again, we can't be that bad after all!

Moggins you seem much better!! Can't believe I misread your post " pulling the children off the bone"!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Had visions of your kids scrapping like dogs for about 2 seconds!!
Have a great day at Longleat, think the weather forecast is pretty good for tomorrow!:DYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
LOL, unfortunately not much better, just discovered how adaptable I am
I'm amazed at how much I can do one handed. Even opening jars! I've found having a fake boob a real asset there I can tell you
