We had a similar problem to this some years ago, our boiler broke down just after we moved into a house that was only 2 years old, the gas board did manage to get it working once, but when it went a second time we had to have a new one. It turned out that the builders had bought up a job lot of obsolete boilers for which you could not get spare parts. Out of an estate of almost 200 houses we all had to have the boilers replaced within 3 years of the houses being built.
BG wanted a fortune to replace it, I went to a local plumber and he did it for a heck of a lot less than BG wanted.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post to say thank you for all the good wishes for Miss Pink. We were delighted with her results! :j :j :j 1 A*, 3 A's, 3 B's, 2 C's and a D. She's going back to do A levels, so now it's a mad rush to get her uniform sorted for next week. We were too superstitious to buy it until we knew she'd got enough to go back to school.
Sorry I haven't done anything on the board today....too nervous this morning and too busy celebrating with Beth this afternoon, and now I'm just about to head off to work.
I haven't had time to look through the thread properly, so I hope everyone's ok. Kiwichick, post on the In My Home board for advice on your boiler, there are some regulars there who are plumbers and post great advice.
Thanks again for the good luck messages and fingers crossed for everyone awaiting results on Thursday.

PS Pink, can you point me where I can find out how to put multiple quotes in a message, rather than doing 3 messages in a row? Thanks :A

PP as everyone else has said ignore that silly person. They don't know you so have no right to judge you. I know its easier said than done, but they aren't worth you timie thinking about it.
A very successful day all round, got loads done for w**k so will only have to check my emails in the morning and put my out of office reply on.
Have packed and sent DH off to deliver the gear (it won't go in the buggy so friend is taking it for us).
Just about to do meself dinner as DH is eating out at friends and then stopping at Costco on the way home (hoping he doesn't buy too much).
I've just been looking at the receipes thread for me to do my second dinner (I don't cook usually) next week when we get home from Spa. There are some fab receipes on there and have loads of ideas. Am just finishing off my online shopping to be delivered just after we get home on Tuesday morning. Will also then make the weetabix cake and Aussielass's low fat cake. Need something to keep me going when I'm travelling the next couple of days and that sounds fab.
Hope everyone has a good night, I'm pop on in the morning before we go, getting really excited only one sleep left.0 -
