The cupcakes are covered with coloured sugarpaste (fondant). Dr Oetker (in most supermarkets) do a box of regalice ready to roll icing (sugarpaste) in four colours, I cant remember which colours are in the box poss red black yellow and blue???. Suggest you buy this, do not attempt to colour the sugarpaste yourself as the dark colours are impossible to do without adding soo much colouring that you will alter the texture of the sugarpast and end up with a sticky mess. If the yellow in the pack is too bright buy a small pack of supermarket white suarpaste and add yellow to the white until you get the shade you require. For the yellow pudsy face use a pastry cutter to cut discs of paste and stick to your cupcake using buttercream/smear of jam/lemon curd.
The other parts of face can be stuck on using a little boiled (cooled) water, or add a little boiled water to a small lump of sugarpaste and combine to make a 'glue'0 -
forgot to say for the spots on pudsy's scarf cut a small length of drinking straw and use the end to cut out your spots . . you may need to push the spots out of the straw with a small paintbrush or similar0

Hi,
Just wanted to show you all my cake I made for a friends birthday. We did A-Level art together so thats why I did a paint palette. It's not perfect but I'm proud of it
I'm making another cake for a friends birthday next week, I think I saw it on this thread, it's a chocolate one, with maltesers over the top and chocolate fingers around the edge, I can't remember whos it was, but I hope you don't mind me pinching your idea?0 -

if you look on icingworks.co.uk you will see some nice boxes
Or you could put them in a normal white lidded cake box. I have known some people to put them in empty elm lea trays, then in a box. Be careful of putting your cupcakes in plastic containers as this can make them sweat and your cupcake cases may peel aaway from the sponge nd your sugarpaste go sticky!!!!0
