Anyone any suggestions for the best way to wrap homemade cookies up to post them? Im making some for some friends but I need to make them tonight to post special delivery tomorrow. I was thinking of padding them in with kitchen roll maybes but thought that they might then end up tasting of it. I could maybe wrap each one individually in a cellophene bag and then pad the box out though? Any ideas folks?

Last year I send some cookies in the post. I wrapped them in cellophane, then wrapped and lined a takeaway plastic box with tissue paper then put that in a cardboard box. Possibly overwrap, but they survived the posting and still were fresh when they arrived. :)

Hi everyone, really inspired by what you've been up to. I need to make a cake for my 12 yo son and would like to something a bit more interesting than the standard round cake. He's football/rugby mad, but I have no idea how to design or decorate a cake for hime. Any suggestions please?

Used madeira sponge and made 2 rounds and 2 pyrex bowl sponges and held together with some rods and lots of butter cream!

Wow those are impressive! How many days do they stay fresh for seeing as they have fresh cream on them?

i'd like to say for about 2 to 3 days at least but there is never any left longer than 1 day as the egg free sponge I make is so morish it gets gobbled up. :D

    fab cakes bindiboo.

I would love the recipe for your egg free cake if possible as although not 100% sure am intolerant I am sure eggs give me a rash so would prefer to avoid them if I can

It definately looks morish! I quite fancy a slice to be honest, reminds me of the fresh fruit meringues I used to make in my old job, mmm.
