Do you have any tips for using clicstix? I had a go at the weekend and had murder trying to get the letters out.I virtually had to press the back and slam on the worktop for the to fall out even with a little dusting with icing sugar.
Do you use normal sugar paste or the petal paste? I used sugarpase and even left it to "harden" a little but didnt make any difference.
    Any advice will be appreciated

    Thanks
  • Make sure the flowerpaste is rolled out almost see through.

sounds like your rolling it out a little too thick.....(if its white)...roll it out till its almost see through....leave it to set for a little while. I cut my icing into strips the same width as the letters. just press the relevant letter into the fondant (holding the edge parts (not the plunger bit), wiggle a little lift it up and press the plunger gently....it should just drop out. the thinner you roll it the less indents you get from the plunger part. You kow you have rolled it to thick when you start getting indents.

once you think your fondant is thin enough...roll it even more to make sure :) LOL xx

cookiedough and frugle thank you very much! its very kind of you to say so :) xx

im working on a wedding cake today, 4 tiers and im already fed up with it ha ha....the bottom tier is slightly higher at one side than the other (out of my control as i buy the fruit cakes in...cheaper!) which means and cakes you put on top of that are going to be wonky looking, no matter how straight the dowels! LOL... o well theres nothing i can do now but carry on :(
