Going to have a little lookie on youtube now to see if it shows you how to make figureines.
I see some glitterly food dust in the cake shop and i was very close to buying the whole stand. Until i read its inedible
I do look on youtube sometimes, i see how to make a rose so im going to try that once my icing gets here.

Hi everyone, i'm new to this thread
HELLO *waves*
I'm making a cake for my boyfriends birthday on Thursday, (i'll be making it Wednesday) and it will just be a simple cake victoria sponge with butter icing and jame in the middle with ready made white icing over the top with Happy Birthday and smarties dottted all over it.
My questions are:
you know the cakes you buy in Asda? there so delicious and have a very unique taste, i was wondering if anyone knows how they do this? had anyone got a good recipe for a fluffy victoria sponge?any tips? xxx
