My little one is 3 in sept and wants a train cake like a long one with grass etc how would you all go about making one.
Thanks KatieI have 2 gorgeous kids0 -
Skintbint it's a wilton 1M nozzle, that was my first attempt at them, You just ice from the middle outwards rather than the other way round as normal.
Katie, I did this cake for my nephew a few years ago as it's a no bake cake but looks great and was really easy as just an assembly job!

Good Evening All, :j
I am new to this thread and have never baked or decorated a cake in all my life - but my son's christening is in October and i would love to be able to make a few cupcakes for the buffet along side the christening cake (Somebody else is baking that unless i find i have a huge talent at baking and decorating)
Stardrops would you mind telling me what knozzle you used to ice your cupcakes please? They look superb - I am envious i don't work with you!!
Also when baking the cupcakes do you use a simple sponge recipe or do you have a secret in stopping them from rising into a cone shape?
Thank you, Lolly x xstardrops42 wrote: »Made some cupcakes for the girls at work, to say that they went down well is an understatement:rotfl:They lasted about 5 minutes:DDFW Nerd #awaiting number - Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Hi all, never made a birthday cake in my life, a proper one I mean with all the trimmings etc etc.
My little boy (or not so little!) is going to be 8 in september, he has asked me to make him a lego brick! Has anyone made one? he wants it in red with little lego men (this is fine as I can do choccy ones!) Can I ask how you did the top bit? to make things bad he even wants lego wrote on every single nobbly bit like a real lego brick, but thought I could write this on with edible ink.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Hi Rusty, I made one for my son last year,

I made it using a loaf tin, I bought 3 different colours of icing, or you could colour your own. For the bumpy bits on top, I used marshmallows, which I wrote lego on each bumpy bit with a edible pen which I got from ebay, and the men are just lego men.
