I didn't wake up until 11.30 so I feel as though I have missed half the day.

Toots I am so pleased to hear you are safely home. DS3 left port some time during the night on his long trip to Central America. It is his b'day next weeknd so we have posted cards we hope he can pick up when he gets there. His message to DS1 says it will take about two weeks to cross the Atlantic.

vanilla Well done to your son on finding your ring! You must be delighted. DH lost his wedding ring for 13 years and one of our hens picked it up in the barn.

ffp I have voted for your pooch too.

Mrs Chaos I cancelled my YHA membership when I had a purge on spending. If I could get free for a year I could rejoin. I will have to look at their T and Cs

I have made apple crumble for pudding and have some twinks cookie dough ready for cooking when we put the chicken in the oven.
DD is canoeing down the Severn this weekend (100 miles) with her youth group so we have DSIL for lunch without her. We all eat togther evry Sunday:) All the men are watching the GP so I am getting on with things while they are occupied:D

    hi all

have you missed me? Had mum & stepdad here (well, staying up the road with in laws) since thurs eve. Was lovely to have them here though dh was a grumpy pain at times...he doesn't do well without space and my mum wound him up a bit (think she dared to express a couple of baby related opinions lol).

However it was fun and we went to the zoo on fri and then yest i did lots of baby stuff with mum, she turned up with lots of essentials (white vests, sleepsuits etc) and we went through and listed all the clothes - only need one pack of vests, some cardis and hats and blankets and we're sorted for the basics as in vests, babygros...not going to get any proper outfits really as we didn't want to know the gender.

flat needs another hoover but we have a flat inspection weds so will do on tues eve. I am tired so going for a bit of a lie down i think.

  • OK - lounge sorted, Mr T shop done - quick sit down with a drink, then put food away and do prep for tea - not helped by no idea when hoards will descend... (insert shruggy smilie - men are organising this so I doubt I'll be warned they are on their way).

Whoopsied a turkey leg for 30p, so just deciding whether to cook & freeze or just freeze for now - I love turkey soup so what I'll make is sorted!

Time for another twizzle of washing in/out/onto line - still lovely and sunny and blowy,

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Afternoon all

Just having a tea break from the gardening - my favourite weather, warm, breezy and sunny so I'll be out there till it gets dark - BBQ for dinner, trying sea bream on there.

Boddy - I use chrome with no problem. I'm a bit confused by what you say. If I hightlight a word and click the bold icon this is what it looks like B]word[/B - I've added extra outside brackets to show you. When I post that the 'code' will go and it will just be bold text. Does that help?

Polly - glad you bite has got better

Loaf cooked so back to the garden

I would either car boot or Gumtree it or Pre loved do free ads to I found mine didnt sell but think it was due to weight cheapest postage i could find at the time was going to be nearly £8.00 and I had less K'nex.

    I'll stick a card up in the shops then;

    it's gone CRAZY here...

DD is doing about level 10 I think...curtains in WM; fluffy bunny pegged on line by ears...I washed it because it was really dirty - don't even know if it's staying.
I'm on 'nook and cranny' duty - she's scared of spiders; there are conkers EVERYWHERE :rotfl:
Dust bunnies are wreaking their revenge. I nipped to Mr M's for supplies and HAD TO STOP THE CAR TO SNEEZE and have now eyedropped my eyes *itch**itch*
Tamagotchis rediscovered - DD got one going - DS rescued his from the bin - unfortunately the battery was flat (all batteries have been removed from toys BTW, and put in recycling) because he wants to play too *roll eyes* I have two blue bags choc full of paper; a huge bin bag of clothes has already hit the recycling and DS's chances of having a sleepover much reduced due to empty vodka bottle found in HIS wardrobe which he claimed to know NOTHING about -*rolleyes* Light shade brushed - I offered to get the dust sucked off an ornament cue much lewd teenage commenting FNAR FNAR
