  • OK, DS & I back from church, to find we have visitors (probably) for tea and DH /DS are meeting them first at Legoland.

Would I like to go?? Well I have washing, and weeding to do, and now producing food which needs a trip to Mr T's, and a quick whiz around the downstairs to produce some space (we're mid sorting out goodness knows what..) so no DH I think I'm busy.....:mad:

I'll calm down as I adore the kiddies coming but a little more notice would have been appreciated...men huh..

OK - sarnie gobbled, cuppa on, then list in hand I'm turning into a domestic godess for the afternoon..

    Moam

Afternoon everyone. Weather quite changeable here.Showers then sunshine. Not doing much today just pottering. Can someone help? I usually use Google Chrome as browser. But when I try to write a post on there for MSE if I say click on bold B comes up either side of word etc. Im having to use Firefox to write message. My daft brain cant quite figure out how to sort it.

Post on the feedback board and ask whether the site has been tested with chrome yet... they may be working their way through a list. And if the B comes up while you're writing, does it stay like that after you've posted? Some sites show the coding when writing (also for smileys) and only resolve it when you click to submit.

I've just been through my summer clothes and evicted the definitely too large ones into alter and dump. Not too many, which is some ways is a pity, and in other ways a good thing... and reminds me that I still have some work to do on the weight loss/fitness front...

Need to do some gardening before it rains again. I'm home all day today so hope to get gardening/laundry/housework done so I can seem my brother and friends tomorrow.

2 beds stripped and remade. DD1 got a 2a on her practice paper. valli did I use the correct spelling there???

Off to vote for FFP's doggle.
    yeah

practice is the NOUN practise is the verb but my method for remembering which is which is to use advice ie Citizen's Advice Bureau - noun and advise - ie I advise you to vacuum your room NOW young man because they are pronounced differently...

the mega room clean all started when DS couldn't find Fifa 09
I found a pile of stuff I had flung in a box when vacuuming and there it was, along with 2 DVDs

    Now could anyone advise me...

    I have a Box of K'nex - 15 model storage tub. 160+ pieces if they're all there...
ETA actually there are over 300 pieces - so looks like two kits all got put inn one tub...

could e bay it but doesn't seem popular
could take in into school for wet play (I will get shut of it but not make any cash IYSWIM)
    could car boot it
could free ad it at Morrisons...

Nice one on the ring Vanilla

  • OK - dining room done, kitchen floor drying, one load washing out, next in and third gathered/rounded up

quick drink - then the lounge, then Mr T's, then S & S bathrooms (just in case but pretty OK anyway) - then we might be ready for the hoards to descend..

    back to it...
