  • 5'5" but I have absolutely tiny wrists and hands - I need child sized gloves. I hit 7st 10lbs at university after being very ill with tonsillitis and wouldn't ever want to go that low again. I think 8st 3lbs-ish is probably the lowest I can go before Mr Minx starts complaining! He's promised to tell me if I start looking too bony out of clothes :)

The reason I'm thinking I may have to go under 9 stone is that my waist isn't shifting. When I was over 11 stone it was 33". 21lbs later I've only lost 2" off it, which makes me a size 16 in wedding dress terms according to Alfred Angelo's size chart. I really want to go down to a 28" waist and while I'm happy to turn to corsetry, I'd like to be able to breathe on the day!

Rubbish. I was feeling a tad better last night and had ONE mouthful of Mr.nat's chinese only to find out this morning that I've put on 3lbs!! That was the only thing I ate yesterday too! *sigh*

Im supposed to hitting the town tomorrow so I tried on a dress I bought especially, looks awful. I love this dress so trust me, I tried my best to make it work! Just wasnt happening. I dont feel like going now, I havent been out in over 6months and in this time ive put on 3 stone! The thought of bumping into someone who I havent seen for a long time doesnt bear thinking about :(

Don''t let your weight put you off doing something you've been looking forward to Nat. Use this feeling as an incentive to keep going, you've already shifted 1/5 of what you want to loose. I don't know if you're routinely only eating a few mouthfuls a day - but in time that will cause your body to do into starvation mode and store everything as fat as it doesn't know when you'll next feed it, so little and often, even if its only fruit, is the way to go.

Haven't been on the scales since the start of October. Trying to face up to getting on them this morning. I was told during the week unless I start exercising I'll need a knee replacement within 10 years, that's a scary thought. Apparently the surgery took out more bone and cartiledge than they would have liked, and the only way to get movement back into it is exercise, otherwise I'll need a new one as this one is pretty limited in function at the moment.

Husband saw my post and made me get on the scales. 147lbs now. I've put on a stone since getting married! This needs to stop. BMI is now 23.7. So my goal for the new year is to loose 30lbs. Gosh that sounds scary, that's going to take so long to get off again.

Thanks for your post dinah, made me feel better. I wasnt purposely only eating one mouthful, I hadnt eaten much at all due to illness and felt a bit hungry. Gobbled a little and decided that it wasnt agreeing with my tummy. Oh well!

  • I swear I don't know what's going on with UK sizing these days, but I tried on a fitted dress and some skinny jeans in Tesco today and size 10s fitted fine :j:j I still have a 31" waist though, apparently! Maybe I need a new tape measure....? I know Tesco cuts on the generous side.

Feeling rock bottom. As you can probably tell im not out tonight when I should be: me and mr.nat had a barney about my weight and I ended up feeling so crap i couldnt face it. Of course that started an even bigger arguement and now im at home on my own. Cant stop crying, hes gone out without me and im slipping into depression.
