I would rather she just be honest with me rather than all the waffle she just spouted!
I know my rate is higher than the others because I am self employed but it's not been a problem so far, I am guessing it is because she pays the others less. My work colleagues mum can offer me a job in Harvester but it's £5.93 an hour so I'd have to do double the shifts to get what I am earning now

Hi Matymoo, thanks very much for your post! I would be really interested to hear what sort of diet she went on, I have tried to refrain from doing too much internet research as I would much prefer to hear what works for others!
I seem to be averaging about 8 cups a day now, it's not brilliant but it is liveable, especially with only one sugar in it
.
Have requested details, will let you know as soon as I hear back

I wish I was brave enough to do something like that RP, I spend my whole life being scared to take a chance.
Oh yes Rum Punch you are most definitely invited! I think Adam should qualify as well despite not being a girl lol!
Even though I don't know you properly, I think of you as being brave! I love your approach to Lloyds/TSB.
The thing with ultimatums is that you have to be prepared to go through with them, and by then I was. Which is why I would never advise somebody to do it, if you are happy with your boyfriend and don't want to risk what you have, you shouldn't do it.
Having children, now that's a battle we are still having! Not really, we've agreed in principle, but life keeps getting in the way and time is not on our side.0 -
How frustrating, like you said she should just be honest. I suppose at least the Harvester would be a back up plan!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I really don't want to sound flippant, but I really believe that when one door closes another one opens...
Stay put and make it difficult for her. But if she does let you go, I'm sure it is because something better will turn up. Fingers crossed0 -
That's why I've never issued one as I know I wouldn't follow through and you should never make empty threats.

Does he understand properly how important it is to you? And does he have a good reason for not wanting to?0

Thanks very much Matymoo, much appreciated!
Thanks as well RP for your words of comfort, I just really had to force myself to take this job as I didn't really want to do it but knew it would help and that it wouldn't be forever. Just gutting that she can be so blaze about it!
I hope something else comes along, I might try and find out if my old boss needs anyone although he didnt in the summer. Just grrrr....and OH being a typical man says 'well you didn't really want to work there anyway', er no darling, I didn't but I had to. Then he proceeds to tell me how he has been offered loads of overtime and it just seems to drop on his lap where I have to go and look for opportunities . Um, thanks.
Going to my mums now to drink tea and put the world to rights.
Signing off with a very wailing mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

His 'reason' is that his parents got divorced. What a load of crap if you ask me!
Trouble is we've been together for so long now and I'm now not sure if I still want to get married or if I just go on about it out of principal as I want him to compromise for once. Women ah!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
