Would you like me to come and give your OH a battering? Said in the nicest possible way of course . On the other side though, you two have been together 10 years, you don't spend that long with someone you don't have those real deep down, you are my life type feelings! He obviously loves you hun

I don't do hints...I will just probably end up saying something to OH like:
'Look, you lazy !!!!! typical commitment shy man, I've now spent three years doing your washing and ironing. I would suggest that a suitable reward is a nice diamond ring. If I don't get one within x number of weeks I would suggest that you find a replacement maid cos I'll be off' :rotfl:
Or...I do have his credit card in my purse and I know the pin (he MUST trust me!)...I could just go and buy a ring?!

Hi Pink! Welcome back and well done on catching up! Hopefully I will never have to roll out the well rehearsed 'I'm leaving' speech :rotfl:.
I'm so lazy, I didn't wake up until 11.30
, I quickly made a cup of tea and snuggled back up in bed with the goal of not getting out of it until gome 12pm! Going out with my mum for a while today, I decided we don't really spend much time together so we are going to get some lunch in town and have a wander round the charity shops to see if we can find me some trousers. I also need to get some Mothercare vouchers for someone at work who has a baby boy due in about 2 weeks.
Just going to grab a quick bit of toast then jump in the shower before heading off! OH is currently cleaning , long may it continue :rotfl:
Will catch you later x

Have a lovely day with your mum Jody xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hope you've had a nice day with your Mum and get back to a lovely clean house!0

House isn't really clean but at least he made an effort

I am a bad MSE-r, very bad. I hang my head in shame
. I went shopping and um, my, did I shop? I could barely carry all the bags :rotfl:, mum had to carry some for me! Being big I have always struggled with clothes shopping, I can never find anything that fits properly which is why I avoid town like the plague. I am still wearing stuff from way back in last year
. Anyway......I knew I really wanted some boots for winter because last year I struggled through with my timberlands which aren't that great and really aren't smart for work. So we go to Evans as I had seen some in the window when I walked past, never been in Evans before for clothes or anything...in hindsight I probably should have kept it that way :rotfl:.
So we go in and make our way upstairs to the shoes etc and I see a nice pair of flat calf boots which are smart enough for work and perfect for the winter. They are £50 which is a little more than I would want to pay but I am thinking if they actually fit my thunder calves and will last then it's worth it. Then I see a lovely pair of knee boots.....I haven't had knee length boots since I was 16 as I just couldn't get any to fit! My mum gets them down and urges me to 'try them on' :rotfl:. Ok, both fit, they fit like they were made for me and they are both so comfortable. Then the devil turns up on my shoulder and says 'don't forget Andy said you could buy yourself stuff you needed on his credit card and you know the pin! They look so good don't they? You haven't bought yourself anything for ages, you should get them if you like them'
. Actually I think the devil was really my mum! So both pairs go behind the till ready for me to purchase them, grand total of £140 for both pairs .
Then my mum, in full swing turns to the assistant and says right, she needs some nice smart black trousers for work, some leggings to go under those knee boots and some casual combat type trousers, what have you got? The assistant zooms off and comes back 5 minutes later with lots of options! The black work trousers were AMAZING, they weren't baggy round the legs or bum, the waist was pefect and the length was just right so they go in the 'having them' pile. The combats were too big as they only had the next size up but the leggings were good and also went in the 'having them' pile. At this point all sense of money went out the window, I felt like a celeb with them pandering to my every whim :rotfl:. We wander downstairs....find one top I like but at £32 I can't justify it as it's really only an evening top so I put it back..phew. Then I come across some nice patchwork jeans and some denim style wide leg trousers so they get put over the arm to try on. Cruise to the sale rail, a pair of denim jeggings also go in the pile to try on and I come across some more combats, this time there is a pair in my size :T.
Another trip to the changing room....the jeans are an 18 and too big so mum runs off to find a 16, the combats in an 18 are slightly too big and the 16's are slightly too small...damn. Size 16 patchwork jeans fit spot on so assistant kindly takes them to my till pile
. The demin wide legs fit nicely too but I manage to control myself and say I will just have the reduced denim jeggings.
Final total - £210 for 2 pairs of boots, a pair of black smart trousers, a pair of jeans, a pair of denim jeggings and a pair of black leggings. Then we notice that the black trousers are 2 for £25 so mum picks up another pair and pays the difference as an Xmas pressie.
Out comes OH's gold credit card and before you can say bob's your uncle I am paid up and on my way out of the shop with 3 bags full!!!!
Obviously this post is worthless without pics so I found a pic on the website of my knee boots.

I haven't finished there though! We go and get some lunch as poor mum is absolutely starving, I resist chips and settle for a chicken panini, aren't I good :A. It's getting late by this time so we duck into Primark quickly, generally I hate Primark, it's full of people and stuff is on the floor, you know what I mean! Find a nice beige print vest dress which goes over the bag laden arm, them a black lace tunic vest, then a mink coloured cardi with lace inserts and a black mesh vest with a pink rose pattern. £30 later (from my account this time) and with yet another bag...we are off, there is still time for Peacocks :j. Fortunately Peacocks had nothing of real interest, just a nice thin black waterfall style cardigan which was only £9.60 as they were having a 20% off event .
Then we get a taxi home and I'm shattered. OH took the news of my spending quite well although I have offered to refund him
. I do feel bad but at the same time, I have spent so long struggling with what to wear because nothing fitted properly and now I have some nice stuff that should last a while so I guess I have to weigh it up, especially as I haven't bought any clothes for so long!
Am I forgiven or shall I put myself in the sin bin? :rotfl:
EDIT TO ADD - one of the Primark tops is a size 8, not an 18 so needs to go back - that's £9 to get a refund for!

Wow you did do some shopping! Your forgiven though!
You now have a smart winter wardrobe to see you through and you'll be looking hot for your man, even if he did have pay for the pleasure lol!
The boots are lovely!
At least you will be putting £9 back in your account!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

OH is a typical man and doesn't like the vest dress and said the boots looked the same , he is quite useless at the whole womens clothes things.
On the positive side, it now means I can Ebay some bits that I was hanging onto incase I needed them, which I now don't. Going to bag up my change this evening ready to be paid in and will get the surrender forms for the plan all done. I could still do with a few new jumpers/tops but I certainly have enough for winter.

Why can't they learn to just say it looks lovely! Saying both boots look the same is really not very helpful!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
