I blinking well hope so! I have dreamed of the day for years!

Well today has not been good overall..........:mad:

Went to local fish place at lunch and got water for fish, also ended up with a new diddy pump, some air stones and connections and a little coral (it was only a fiver!) for a grand total of £23, oops!

Then got cajoled into putting some bets on the footie and after the shocking Holland win I am £8 down . Now I remember why I don't bet!!

Must be good at the weekend!!!

Well actually yesterday was worse than I first wrote because I totally forgot that I bought ice lollies for the five of us in the office and the weekly tobacco pouch :eek: It's all in the spending diary and entered onto my monthly analysis so will have to look at it towards the end of this pay period.

Slept quite well last night but woke up absolutely baking as we didnt put the fan in the bedroom last night! OH was so tired bless him that he didn't get up till gone mid-day :rotfl:. I used the 'quiet' time while he was still in bed to do the washing up, wash the kitchen sides, clean the dining table of rubbish, wash the placemats, do a load of washing and put it on the airer and mix up some water for the fish...phew!

Just going to have some lunch then going to another local fish place to get some live food for them and some bits for the filter. Have run out of shampoo as well so need to get some on our travels. I have a mahoosive pile of ironing to be done but have been putting it off because of the heat, might tackle some of it this afternoon then I can have a nice shower and relax tonight.

Am going out for lunch tomorrow with a friend and then working tomorrow eve in the pub so I expect the day will just fly by.

On money side of things...I won £7.50 on the euromillions last night :j, at least that cancels out the £8 I lost on bets yesterday! Have also recieved the scratchy money I withdrew so that's going to be transferred into savings. Going to pay in my small change at some point this week too, I was going to leave it but again, it's better off in my savings earning me a few pennies interest then in the tin in the bedroom. Am planning to find a few ebay items this week as well, might put them on next weekend.

Trying to decide when to set up my new fishtank which is still sitting in the front room dusty and empty . I now have the lights, I have some sand from old tank and I have some rock but I need to work out how best to set up a filter (it's all boring technical fish stuff that I wont bore you with). A friend was going to make me some custom sump tanks so might see if he still fancies it and how much he would charge!

Morning All

Just a quick hello as didn't get in from the pub till almost midnight, it was a bit of a hectic shift and my poor legs still hurt!

Didn't have a very MSE weekend but hopefully I will have got over this by the time I come back later and fill you in!

Hope you all had a good weekend and I will catch up with you in a little while

Your buying fish stuff does make me laugh! I know what it's like when you just can't resist having things for them!

I used to keep tropical fish and was up to six tanks at one point and even had a pet lobster called Shane.

When me and my ex split up it was a very amicable break-up and we split the tanks evenly between us and in the custody battle I got to keep the dog and he kept the lobster!

Since then though I've never set the tanks up again and have actually considered selling them to try and raise some extra cash. He since started doing the whole marine thing to and seems to have constant nightmares with things going wrong with them!

And you shouldn't worry bout not having a very MSE weekend, it's hard to stick to all the time!

phew, lots of things were happening while I was away:). Ouch for sunburn, I have very good skin but still use factor 50 suncream at all the time as I get really brown really quickly. OH thinks I'm mad but I just can't bear pain:(

Spain was lovely though, we had great weather and lots of food (oops) and rest. Our flight got delayed on the way back to Gatwick so ended up transferring ourselves to Stansted at 1 in the morning. It wasn't very MSE as we had return train ticket to the city centre from Gatwick and needed to buy bus ticket from S. But try to reclaim it through our travel insurance (well, it pays £20 for delayed flights, ours was delayed for 12 hours so we might get it back.

Well, anyway, better get going, I need to work... Have a nice day
