Have used water spray bottle on my cats and rabbits again today, the rabbits absolutely love it, cats will tolerate it but my big black lab who is a bit of a big girls blouse runs away from it so I have to use a wet towel on him. He`s wearing a tea-towel right now....lol :rotfl:
  • Furminator?

Furminators are very expensive but you get cheaper ones along the same lines which work just as well - with the furminator you are paying for the name as much as the tool it seems. Just pay attention to the shape of the rake and get one that looks similar to the furminator and you should be okay - searching google for things like 'undercoat rake' will put you on the right track I think.

Thanks from me n topsy! xxx

Only just noticed your reply :o - Sorry!

I'm really glad that Topsy (boy or girl??) finally found some relief from the heat. Mine love their frozen towels - as you say, it does take them a little while to get used to them, but once they do you can't get them off :rotfl::rotfl:.

Another tip for those dogs who have gottten too hot in the sun(especially types such as the bull breeds, boxers, pugs etc) With all the panting their throats can swell and then become blocked with 'froth' -give them something like 7Up/lilt/lemonade it breaks down the froth and clears their airways!

I was looking at a proper Furnimator the other day on Amazon. Chat amongst yourselves whilst I find the link.....

Here we go - Amazon linky . I haven't gone any further than looking so I don't know how much postage is, but I didn't think £7.50 was out of the way for a tool that promises so much. :)

I thought they were much more expensive than that which is why we've never had one, but with three very hot dogs today I think I might get one.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

if you have white cats it is a good idea to apply sun lotion to their ears, as they can get skin cancer there, with the skin being so thin.
we recently got some foc animal sun block cream from our supplier - can't for life of me remember what its called, but apparently they use it a lot in oz and nz
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Lol - I'm not crazy, I promise! Every time I have seen them in shops or online they have cost upwards of 20 quid!
