I like the new site style - much cleaner & easier on the eye

I'm surprised lots of people think it's cleaner, it's just more spaced out.

How about a third skin option, like the second image, much cleaner than the first (and still room for improvement (remove 1st 2 columns and replace with the username, to get more in)). Far too many stickies too

We are working on the servers currently and we have turned off avatars in the short term in order to remove some load from the system. They'll return when we've stabilised things.

I quite like it, clearer and brighter and easier to see.

But very slow at present, that's not helpful. Hope you get it sorted.

I really don't care much what it looks like - so the new look is I suppose irrelevant to me one way or the other

I do care if it works - it doesn't in three respects
:
speed (OK I can accept that that is being fixed)
multiquote doesn't appear to do anything (what's it supposed to do?)
The abuse button doesn't work ('could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed' - whatever that means. In other contexts it means I am not using Outlook, what it means here - not a clue)
