The main problem i think is funding a second degree - basically they no longer do.
what would be the point in doing courses similar to what your first degree was in?
Getting on a course to do a second degree was not the issue. Getting funding was the problem (i.e. there was NO funding).
It was aimed at regularsaver who said they wouldn't let them on one of the courses...(sorry, should have quoted the post before I replied!)
I've done random courses after my degree even though they were specified course choices within the degree, and I know of lots of people who are studying second degrees with the OU, so I was unsure why they weren't allowed to do some of the courses...curiosity really0 -
No this wasn't OU - this was a college. I hadn't thought of OU. I certainly will now

Actually even if you earn more than £15k you could still be eligible for up to £100 but I think it specifies that it should be a computer course or a course that will "help you develop the skills that many employers are looking for"Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 014Lightbulb Moment 12 December 05They may take our lives but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!0 -

I looked into this, and it appears that you can only use the £200 award towards OU courses, and not the £100 award. Well this is the case for my course anyway :rolleyes:Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
Yeh pink think they are quite specific about which courses and which providers you can use the £100 funding for, seem to be more open with the £200 one.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 014Lightbulb Moment 12 December 05They may take our lives but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!0
