I think your house will find a buyer. Two things that may put people off is the lack of a garage/ off street parking and (if I'm right) it is ex LA. That said people who know the area well shouldn't be bothered about it being ex LA.

    Good luck!

I can't see anything wrong with the house, but here's my thoughts:

The internal photos need lightening up in photoshop.
The resolution of the photos doesn't look too high to me.
    Need a floorplan.
    "Dinning" room is spelt incorrectly.
    More photos.
    Happy chappy

Yes that house is next door and needed a bunch of work. The property was bought as an investment. Actually they guy who bought it called my agent and offered 200k for mine (without seeing it inside) as he fancied having the 2 together and that was all the money he had left.

When I was looking, I only visited ones with a floorplan, if they didn't have one it put me off..silly really

But worth getting one done x
  • Oh yes the agents ramping you all up and you all believe it. Gullable id say.

The fact is there is one rise where the BS and banks have raise rates above the rate the BoE raised and now there is talk of one maybe two more.

Don't expect this September to be busy. It's the start of the crash. Believe me.

I agree with everyone else - improved photos, and make sure all web pages with it on have room measurements - I didn't even bother reading descriptions when I saw they didn't have dimensions.

Ask your agent how it went when they rang the buyers on their books. They should have done this. Normally you'd get an initial flurry of viewings, then it'd quiet down, because they phone round all buyers on their books when the property first comes on the market. If this agent doesn't have any buyers in your house's price bracket, change agent. Some will take anything on to get business, even if it's not in a class they most frequently deal with.
  • well the housing market here in northern ireland is going well. i have had my house on the market for 9 days. i have had 8 viewings and already have £1000 above my asking price. there is a shortage of property here where i live and there are a lot of people competing for good houses.

zzzzzzz how many times have we heard this in the last 3 years?

I don't see a crash coming anytime in the near future with the high demand for housing and the large number of migrant workers that continue to arrive will increase demand further.Perhaps another slow down in rises for the next few months (2-4% pa) because its coming up to winter, but thats all.

September will pickup on august.........Believe me! :rotfl:

    You know or you wish?

Sorry but there is more to the housing market than just interest rate rises....What have some of the banks just decided? To introduce mortgages that can be passed from generation to generation....I think you may find that a crash is still wey off!
