**** I'm pregnant

OP I hope you sort things out
I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks - I never knew I was pregnant I was still having periods and no symptoms. My ex and I were also using condoms, plus I was on the pill and injection so it was the last thing I expected. Had I have known I was pregnant I think I would have faced a very uneasy decision.
However tonight I have just come back from visiting my friend in hospital after her fiance beat her up for the third (and final, she assures us) time. He beat her up cos she has jus found out she is pregnant (only 5/6 weks) and she is debating what to to do for her safety and her future. Very tough decision but I and her family and friends will support 150% what ever she decides.0 -
The stat that got me was apparently there were over 200000 abortions in 2008.....to me that is a staggering number!
i wonder how many kids that were unplanned or badly looked after got taken it to care because their parents couldnt look after them after theyd had them? poor kids!
OP my (now) hubby's first reaction when i fell prgenant (after us being together for nearly 4 years) and i was 19 & worked & he was 20 at uni was 'get rid' too. He was just scared, its a massive commitment & lifestyle change.
Now our daughter is about to turn 4 and adored by all that know her. He is a fantastic dad & is mortified at his reaction. We are now married & have been trying for number 2 for 15 months now.... funny how things turn out x0 -

There were 60,900 'looked after' children as of March 2009. This years stats aren't out yet.
Its funny how many of the people who get all worked up about the rights of a barely developed foetus rarely devote much of their energy to helping these existing children. It seems they only care about the 'children' up until they leave the womb, after that they're on their own.0
