My mother has recieved 2 this year (and never had one before).

I agree but then must argue again :D

I don't want a drink that has already been made. How long has it sat there? has the ice started to mealt? is it as fizzy as it should be?

I understand that for the managers target this is important. But as a way of assessing the place on service it doesn't really work. What if it takes them 15 mins to get a plain burger. Thats quite bad but will never be found out about. that part of the customer experince will be ignored.

I do kind of agree with you about the drinks sitting there... but then again, if speed of service is the only thing that matters to the people paying the bonus, then of course you will do all you can to keep within your targets. And they are so exacting with their order requirements so they can compare like for like. I guess it's the same for the pizza jobs - certain pizzas take longer / less time to cook, hence not being allowed to order them.

I agree that they should still be prepared for every eventuality though...

Mine were both due to overstaying my ticket in a council-run car park. My fault entirely - thought I'd save 70p and just get an hour-return. Both times I was over ten minutes late, so I don't really see how I could have argued my case... On the other hand, DP got clamped the other year in a private car park and they charged him £100 to get it taken off. The sign was about this big, hidden behind a gate. I'd say he'd have had a case for complaint... but he needed the car desperately so paid it. Ho hum.

As an aside, our local council have now taken over the parking enforcement from the police. The town is now swarming with traffic wardens - I would be very interested to know how much money they've made since it came in. I am ultra-careful when parking now!

Best stop talking non-MS stuff now, before the forum police tell me off :p

Really, really quiet. Got some free petrol last night but that's all this week. Just one job! Waiting for the June onslaught. Bring on the ESA eggs please! Want some of the those catalogue shops and department stores and I could do with some banks to tide me over but all the banks are miles away at the moment.

I'm getting a bit pickier as now driving a fuel consuming mamoth that my husband bought me, so don't want to drive too far unless there's a load of jobs in the one area.

How do you get the egg jobs (yes I know probably has been posted here before but I find the search button really unhelpful when searching!). Do you have to have done a few ESA jobs before you are entitled for these? Hear so much about them that I really really want to do one! Oh and the stamp jobs-but never had the chance to grab one!

My mother has recieved 2 this year (and never had one before).

I'd like to know how!!! Must save time to search for this sort of thing in the future!

I really don't understand Gyp!!! Just got my first phone call - after rejecting my assignment they now want me to do another one at the same place and will give me fuel!!! Whoop Whoop!

Next question - how reliable are they on their word... they didn't have any fuel in my area so he said he will assign when they next come out

Can I check: Gap chicken, can you take someone with you? It doesn't say you can't, so I'm presuming so.

How amusing! Not sure whether they will give you the fuel when it comes out, I think someone would have to remember to do it. At least you haven't been sacked! I find doing the odd last minute job for them will get you in their good books. Unfortunately it seems the only way to get the good jobs is to agree to the jobs when they call you. I think my record was 7 other jobs (not fast food!!) for 1 burger. Others have done much better!

Yes you can take others with you as long as you only order what is on the brief :)
