Yea I understand - just means I have to be more careful next time!

Whoop whoop! It worked! :) I feel more knowledgeable now lolz
Is it working for me? No. I don't get it. I click on the double speech button on the posts I want to quote but only one of the quotes shows up.

Yeh I know that it's very picky but the timings are the key thing with the shops. They want the place to be clean etc but that isn't as important to them as how quick.

But I do totally agree about people being picky. They need to be prepared for that one person (usually me) who asks for a plain burger because that will slow them down. They should be able to cope with it!

    Think I've got it now.

It's such an easy mistake to make, and in honesty it's lucky that you only lost a little money and time out of it.

I remember when I got a parking ticket just after I passed my driving test. I (now) know I was totally in the wrong but it was still really really really annoying. I've not done it since though so lessons learned!!

The annoying thing is is that I had to do the shop twice! I had originally completed it on Saturday - got home and realised it was for the wrong time - too late to redo the same day so I rescheduled for the day after... then saw the "No Ice" on the receipt and had known it to fail! Should have just released it and not bothered!

My first parking ticket was on my last exam at uni - I parked where I could and was valid for 3 hours but the exam started late and so went over by 10 minutes - within them 10 minutes I was booked! lolz As you say - lesson learned!

How is everyone's MS going - I haven't had anything for 3 days... is it just me???

Think of it from the other side. You're a burger manager and you've just been mystery shopped. The shopper requests no ice in their drink, this means you can't give them the ready made drink that's there, so it takes you say 20 seconds to go and get them a drink with no ice. That 20 seconds then takes you over the "allowed" time limit and you fail the visit. As you've failed you've lost the bonus that you were expecting.

As a manager you did everything you could to plan for the place being busy, but because the shopper didn't follow the brief you lose out. So of course you complain to gyp, and then gyp clarify it with the shopper who confirms and the end result is that gyp have to reshop the restaurant. So who picks up the bill for the reshop?

Mystery shops are a very big deal to the people that work there so it's only fair on them if we give them the best chance to pass everything.

I agree but then must argue again :D

I don't want a drink that has already been made. How long has it sat there? has the ice started to mealt? is it as fizzy as it should be?

I understand that for the managers target this is important. But as a way of assessing the place on service it doesn't really work. What if it takes them 15 mins to get a plain burger. Thats quite bad but will never be found out about. that part of the customer experince will be ignored.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

:rotfl:I hadn't investigated that button yet but it looked like balloons and I thought it might be something jokey

Och yes I understand that but there just seems to be no leeway with Gap.

Really, really quiet. Got some free petrol last night but that's all this week. Just one job! Waiting for the June onslaught. Bring on the ESA eggs please! Want some of the those catalogue shops and department stores and I could do with some banks to tide me over but all the banks are miles away at the moment.

I'm getting a bit pickier as now driving a fuel consuming mamoth that my husband bought me, so don't want to drive too far unless there's a load of jobs in the one area.

I got two in the space of a week not long after I passed my test. Not had one since though... I too learnt my lesson (£80 later ).

I've been pretty quiet for most of this month TBH. But I've had a fair bit of non-MS stuff to do, so haven't been able to travel far. I find if I can travel out of town once a week or so, that's where I make the money. I haven't really been looking for that much work either as needed to chill out a bit!

Going camping on Sat so not got anything booked in for the next week or so. Jewellery audits when I get back & an RE Sunday lunch... and I think that's about it other than the crisps jobs.

Will have to try to have a busy June to have some cash over summer!!!
