At Sainsbury's for several weeks now - 4 fresh cream chocolate eclairs at £1.40 right next to boxes of 2 on special offer of "buy 2 boxes of 2 for £2" - some special offer!!0

Yes, you need to be able to quickly do the maths when you're in the supermarket - they obviously think we don't know our tables...conniving so and so's0

That's not Tesco's only sin lately. Went to buy 24 tin pack of classic cat food £9.99 or £5 each instead of £5.27 for the 12 pack or £2.79 for 6 pack. Now only stocking the 6 pack as no call for the 24 or 12 packs. So far 20 complaints in a week and local buyer has overridden head office and reinstated! So got my 24 pack last night. I have 3 cats and they will only eat this brand.:j
Sainsbury's have been price hiking loads of stuff just lately - beer most packs now well over £6, but there have been some offers well worth it. You just have to catch them. 4 pk fursty ferrit £5 = £1.25 per bottle single £1.43 now £1.59 and even better was the speckled hen 2 for £9 making that £1.125 per bottle instead of £1.79 or that was price last time I checked!0 -
In asda Boxes of roses, quality street, heroes and celebrations around 50p (or slightly less) per 100grams with 400 or 420 gram boxes costing £2.
Tins of quality street which are 1kg are selling for £5 also 50p a 100grammes, so you may be slightly better off getting small boxes.
i can't find the other tins on the asda website, but if these are less than a kg in weight it is definetely cheaper to buy the £2 boxes .0 -
The boxes are better, £2 each or Mulitisave offer of 2 for £6.
