Got a musty smelling machine and know it's not the pipework.
Musty smell in machine.
Have cleaned the liquid/fab con tray and underneath.
Do you keep the door open or shut when the machine is not in use in order to prevent a musty smell?
Many thanks.
I always leave the door open, and clean the seal from time to time; I never have a smell problem

Have you checked that you haven't got nasty gunk trapped in the dispenser unit and door seal or that the filter is blocked? Do you close the door when the machine isn't in use?0

Have you tried cleaning the seal? Is the smell coming up from the drains?

I'm so glad you mentioned washing machine filters because my machine has been a bit whiffy of late and i just checked the filter and lots of stinky water came out along with hair grips, clips, and a few sweet wrappers....i do check pockets usually, but these things evaded my detection somehow.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I know this question comes up over and over again but.... there seem to be three methods people use to keep their washing machines fragrant, one is a very hot wash with bio powder every now and then, one is a very hot wash with vinegar and one is a very hot wash with washing soda. Does anyone know if one of these methods is better than another or is it just a matter of choice ? I am very confused....0
