Decent mpg for a 1.3 petrol as it has very high gearing, 2nd will take it to near 70

I have an IQ3 too, it is the 1.3 6spd manual and I achieve consistently 48-51mpg in hilly Derbyshire, increases on a run.. dual carriageway and motorway to a max of 54mpg. This drops off quickly to mid 40's if I cane it though.

Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.6 ragtop- 30mpg whether driven hard or gently.

Zafira 1.8 26mpg urban to 34 motorway.
Usually loaded to the maximum gross weight, and driven like it's been stolen.
(my wife can get 32mpg urban empty)

Peugeot 105 1.5d average 55mpg, mixed urban/motorway

53 plte Clio 1.5dci. Never gave less than 60 mpg under any circumstances. Replacement 07 1.5dci Megane averages 47 mpg, I am now the devil in she who must be obeyed's eyes.

Around 48~50 MPG always. Based on varied driving.

And don't forget the air con! My climate control is never off all year round. Bigger engines can handle air con with less noticeable decline of MPG than small ones.
