You may have to return your landline to BT before being able to move ISP. Talk Talk don't usually let people use anyone elses internet service on their landlines.

You dont have to return to BT unless the line has been unbundled (llu).Talk Talk and others only provide their unbundled llu service. If she has a phone line only she will be on a BT rebranded line and can choose a isp of her choice.

    Wonder why you ask this?

You are always ahead of the pack when posting info here about uw.

Yet have never mentioned having any connection to them??

(eg. You first announced it when they launched the risky card, and when they "rejigged" the membership fees/levels)

I mentioned some time ago a friend/acquaintance of mine was a UW distributor. He only mentions certain things to me he is not going to tell me about a rival card.

Whats your interest in UW ,are you an ex distributor ? as recently suggested.

    No.

MSE advice is we should not feed trolls, as it is exactly what they want, hence my ignoring the alteregos of carmine.

Whilst not wanting to give any credence to him by replying to his trouble making post, his allegations are not true - I have never worked in any way at all for uw, or had any connection with them whatsoever.

(Though he does know that as the question has been brought up previously on more than one occasion!)

The fact that you have a major grudge when it comes to UW is absolutely and utterly incontrovertible. Most members of the human race tend to bear grudges due to 'something' the brunt of their grudge has done to them (real or imagined) in the past.

You are clearly not in any way interested in the subject of Gas and Electricity as the ONLY thread you post on in this forum is the UW thread. This can be proven (again incontrovertibly) by anyone who has ever read the npower Gas sculpting thread (I was reading it only the other day and can't recall one post by you on there about a £70 million scandal.). So, if you can't get excited about THAT, but would rather spend your time on here winding up UW customers (a company many many times smaller than npower), then I think it's safe to say your obsession is not the Gas and Electricity Industry but UW. And for that to happen there MUST have been something that's happened in the past to make you this strangely obsessed (unless the truth is even scarier). As this would appear to be the thread where people can state 'theories' as 'facts' just because they think so, then I'll say it again. You joined UW (sometime in 2004 would be my educated guess), paid your £200 or whatever it is/was and fell embarrassingly on your 'arris. Not one to blame yourself for ANY of your failures, you installed yourself on here as UW's arch nemesis, wasting no opportunity to try and destroy their business.

Only problem is, you've failed spectacularly again. In the 5 years you've been spewing your bile they would appear to have grown massively as a company. Are you 'good' at anything?

PS There were actually TWO questions in OGF's opening line, you tellingly answered the one. What IS your interest in UW? You seem to spend a lot of your life obsessing over them, so I'm certainly curious as to the answer. If only for use as a real life example in my part-time psychotherapy degree.

PPS I don't expect you to answer any of this post on account of me getting near to the truth of the REAL Quentin, mystery man/woman...

New readers - ignore the bickering, this cannot be disputed:

Anyone contemplating joining UW, or current UW customers, should concentrate on UW prices.

The average UK customer uses 20,500kWh gas and 3,300kWh electricity pa. Using energyhelpline for my area(Midlands) they list 80 tariffs available in order of cost. UW have 3 tariffs and are ranked in 67th, 68th & 78th position.

The cheapest tariff for the above consumption is £944. The cheapest UW tariff costs £1,190. So UW costs £246(26%) more than the cheapest available tariff.

I see from your quote that the bigoted (just read his/her posts) liar (if you can be bothered, go through the whole previous thread to find the evidence) Quentin .........

You keep posting inflammatory remarks like this, which go against all the rules.

Name calling is for the playground, but repeatedly saying I am a liar is something else. And surely you can see this is a poor show from someone who proudly tells us about your service to the country as well as your police career.

I am not a liar - just put up or shut up!

    Yes always check their prices.

This is what MSE has to say about if they are any good.

This is a commonly asked question, as unlike most energy companies and resellers Utility Warehouse operates by network marketing, which means its customers are encouraged to sell on the product to their friends and they get commission for it.

This tends to mean it does well on feedback charts, as customers have a vested interest, and many of them are evangelical about the firm. That in itself doesn't make the product bad, but in our view it is no better or worse than any other energy provider.

Utility Warehouse's prices are included in all the main comparison services we list; therefore if the company turns out to be cheapest for you it should be listed by the comparison sites, and then it's worth going for.

The main pitch of Utility Warehouse is that you can also get cheap mobile, broadband and home phones with it and that reduces the fee. In general we find that using the standalone cheapest providers undercuts this, so always compare with those before signing up to it. See the cheap home phones, cheap broadband and cheap mobiles guides for more.

Still no news on this identical card? I wish people wouldn't tell us about these alternative cards if they can't back up the claims. Why can't a link be posted so we can all have a look?
