Reading this isn't research; it is just a slanging match which will never be resolved.

One thing for sure that folk will discover about UW by reading this thread is that their reps often come here again and again under the guise of being "happy" customers, when in fact they are reps!

    What you say, Andy?

Why does your company encourage such dishonesty? Or is dishonesty amongst the workforce just the status quo?

(As in the rep who continually returns here to tell us how happy he is, when simultaneously slating uw on another website, saying he no longer can promote it he is so unhappy)

For new readers of this forum, be aware that the 'satisfied customer' scam by UW salesmen is practised time and time again on this and many other websites.

All any new reader needs to do is check the comparison websites to find that UW have just about the most expensive gas and electricity in UK>

EDIT: Andy1047 in his now deleted post posed as a satisfied customer but was exposed as yet another UW salesman. They really should stick to deceiving their family and friends - it is easier.
  • How can it possibly happen UW have no control whatsoever of the rate of vat chargeable on residential energy. They have to charge the going rate thats laid down by the Government at the time.

Ummmm How about the same way Sony are absorbing the VAT over Xmas on thier sales?:T

By continuing to post in this thread without declaring you are a rep for uw you just bring yourself, the uw and its reps in general into disrepute.

Much as they would like to, uw reps cannot remove this thread! And "accidentally" deleting a post is nigh on impossible as it involves extra clicks to do a "delete post". Could it be your post has been removed for your attempt to dupe us?

You have been exposed, though seeing uw reps being dishonest here like you is pretty regular!

    Why continue your charade?

In my very first post on this thread I said I was a distributor and a customer. The only rule I broke (without realising) was having an unsuitable username (which I had used for the last 7 years without issue). It was mentioned that I can't have a URL and I removed it straight away. But, still, one of you had me removed from the site along with the post giving the details mentioned; so hardly me being underhand. I have actually been the one trying to give some balanced views; not all the time, but often in those removed posts.

People come back here to both defend and attack many issues and items in the forums; that's what makes people look in. I am affraid I can't show the passion others are as, at the end of the day, many people will use UW as they will use all the other comapnies. There will always be that choice and people will always decide to beleive one side or the other ; or neither!

I am sure any forums on all the other energy and mobile suppliers will look similar to this? They all have good and bad.

Thank you Quentin for promoting me by the way - is that allowed in your rules?

It went far too quick for others to have done that. No, I did it Quentin. Do read above thread I have already explained. No charade!

    You were exposed, not promoted!

And of course this is untrue:
In my very first post on this thread I said I was a distributor

Had you said that in your now removed post, the posts that followed and your "exposure" would have been unnecessary.

No - posts go automatically when the spam button gets pressed!

I will now edit the post with your link in used for your exposure. You are right, no point giving you any more free publicity.
