Maybe the price is adjusted so the cost 'reflects' a lack of rising whatever the VAT is? Not my area of expertise.

Run that by me again please!

What is your area of expertise?

As this was only a mention at the seminar and mentioned here prior to Jan it may well be something that doeasn't happen (hence not put through for training yet). Of course IDs are trained but I felt the info was worthy of putting up for your thoughts. And, rightly it has brought forth some healthy discussion.

How can it possibly happen UW have no control whatsoever of the rate of vat chargeable on residential energy. They have to charge the going rate thats laid down by the Government at the time.

If you and other distributors are suggesting to potential new customers that UW will have an edge because their not increasing vat, and others are, you are misselling. How many other groups of UW distributors have been told this by the presenter/trainer? How many have of them have gone back and passed the info to their teams?

I suppose UW could be absorbing any VAT increases so the customer will not have to pay more, I was not aware that VAT was increasing on domestic energy though, perhaps its just for the dog and bone.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

That's right but they have got Asda on board at 3% then too. Allegedly there's a "price war" going on between the supermarkets and that's why Sainsbugs has gone from 5 down to 3%.

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

My only concern is that it has reduced from 5% to 3%. :(

Another new member who has their first post on here slagging of UW (not that I'm suspicious of anything!!)

If they were that bad for 4 years, why didn't you leave, its a simple enough process!

From the language I would make a guess that this could be a regular posters alter ego! Take a guess who I think it might be!!
