All direct marketing companies are equal, but some are more equal than others.

You have the advantage over me; I neither use nor sell Avon products.

a very interesting distraction - since the price UW quoted me was for using 4 out of the 6 products they sell ( phone , broadband , gas and electric) that leaves mobile and cash card....

    and still it said £65

could you therefore tell me how you managed to get £45 a month ? since calling UW themselves they seemed at a loss to explain your truely remarkable figure!

So that's a ''Crikey, how stupid does my previous comment look now' admission? As per usual, it's always what you don't say that's the real truth. Delusion. Of. The. Highest. Order.

As I have responded to you in the past, only to have the post deleted, I got the services for £45 by re-directing my monthly spending in certain ways. I do my shopping in certain places and shop online at certain outlets. That allows me to get a big discount off my bill and enables me to get all of the services as I described.

So your claim that UW supplied you all your services for £45 was misleading! (And just uw propaganda as we knew!) (Where is the "honesty" in the way you have mislead?)

Your charges were far higher than the £45 you told us, and the uw took your cashback from your shopping towards paying the bill!

Yet you cynically persisted in asking for "help" from us to find you cheaper providers!

    Wrong again old pal.

I claimed that I had paid £45 for my services in January, and that's exactly what happened. This is exactly my point. Not just the services, but other elements of the UW proposition working in harmony to produce savings. But a fair discussion isn't allowed on here.

There was nothign dishonest about what I said. I did pay £45 in January for the services I mentioned. £45 left my bank account, therefore that's what I paid.

    Simples.

So if I redirected my monthly spending from the yellow supermarket to the orange supermarket it would cost me 3% more but I would get 3% back off my electric bill. Interesting....

Amazon is cheaper than many of the 5-7% cashback shops.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

"Simples" when talking to your gullible prospects!

But most of us who use cashback sites etc when shopping would take the view that when we "earned" cashback off shopping, that meant the effect of the cashback reduced the shopping cost.

UW reps now have translated this into claiming the UW charges unbelievable prices - as in your misleading "everything for £45", when we know the electricity element/membership fee alone would be in the region of £70 with UW (though there are around 50 cheaper tariffs showing on the comparison sites!")

You mislead by trying to convince us all you paid was £45, and you an IFA!
  • Hello meeper and thank you for your reply;

when i phoned UW they were actually wuite astonded how your entire bill for 1 month was only £45 , with my own detials and monthly bills , she couldnt see how i could get mine to under £100 - so yours at 45 is a true miracle!

how did you do it? i use less electric than you and couldnt get it that low.

please , how did you do it? the UW phone line couldnt tell me!
