    So, because it's boring otherwise......

There is a difference of £7.67 per month from the UW price you have quoted to the cheapest one you have listed.

There are pages and pages and pages of complains about EDF, NPower and E-On's customer service on this forum.

UW's customer service is outstanding. 90% of calls answered within 15 seconds by an actual person in the UK who is able to assist with your requirement rather than being passed from pillar to post in Mumbai.

Leaving out all of the other benefits of being a UWDC member, I'd probably rather pay an additional £7.67 per month to get outstanding service, to be honest.

Aside from that, my January bill for Electricity, phone, broadband and mobile was £45 in total. Please can you show me some other way that I could have had those 4 services for cheaper than that.

Thanks in advance of your anticipated co-operation.

    Meeper.

Why are you using the forum for such blatant spam?

Previously you have mislead us by coming into this thread and insisting that if we sign up to uw we were guaranteed the cheapest gas and electricity. That was not true.

Now you seem to be telling us we should sign up, and happily pay more than we need to in order to take advantage of uw "outstanding" cs.

But we know all about that too.

(So does your supporter nigewick who whilst working as a rep, and selling the uw hard here went elsewhere on the net to report on his findings that the cs at uw were at times "atrocious".)

And look at all the other reps who come here and attempt to mislead!

    Truly "outstanding"

Yes, the loss leading (i.e. paid for by ripping off your most loyal customers) tariffs that that self appointed people's champion Cardew has been extolling in this thread for years. Oh dear. How embarrassing for him. Shakes head...

I thought you had been told not to upset yourself; so why bring me into the thread again?

It should be the 'hidden tariffs' that cause you more stress! Still not moved from under 8p/kWh tier 2 electric and under 2.8p/kWh tier 2 gas(incl VAT and before discounts for on-line and dual fuel)

I haven't been notified of any reductions from the latest round of cuts - should I complain?

P.S. 'that that' - Oh dear!

I suspect that you make good use of the "risky" (although nobody has publicly ever had a problem with it) pre payment card to good effect. I do think that you should mention that for the sake of providing complete information.

A uw rep (meeper - though he rarely mentions this) coming into this thread with a spam post to tell us his company's service is so good we should just pay the extra cost like he does, then telling us he only pays £45/month for his energy and phone and broadband of course hasn't provided the "complete information".

It's just cynical promotion, and quoting "I pay £45/month" without all the consumption/energy region details etc means nothing!

It is "publicly" pointed out that the uw prepayment card is "risky" by none other than the uw itself!

They point out in the opening sentence of their card's t's + c's that by buying and using the card, purchasers accept the risks associated with it!

(The uw itself says this, though never mentioned by their reps, who get irritated when it's brought up here!)

By activating your Card you accept these Terms and Conditions and confirm you understand and accept the risks highlighted in clauses 2(b) and 18(d) of this Agreement.
We have heard how the reps are taught to mislead over the card "benefits" when selling their expensive energy to their friends.
Note how they are taught not to mention that the only place you can use the card to get supermarket "discount" or petrol "discount" is at Sainsbiry's for fear the customer doesnt have any sainsbury's nearby (or want to shop there)!

  • It would help your 'cause' greatly, Quentin, if you could actually document any case/s where people have lost money they have placed on the UW card. I've been using it since just after launch and I've certainly never lost any money on it that I've deposited. You clearly know of some instance of this happening or you wouldn't be banging on about it being 'risky'.....would you? Please share your knowledge with the group.

Quentin doesn't need evidence, obviously working on the assumption that if one slings enough mud, some of it will stick.

How am I "mudslinging" by answering you that it's not me who (originally) went "public" warning that the uw card carries risks (as you now seem to accuse me of), when it was the Utility Warehouse itself that highlighted the risks (on its own website!)

Though none of its reps/reps pretending not to be reps/ex reps/supporters etc who use this thread fior uw promotion ever mention it!

So, what I'm reading is "No, there are no other providers that can provide me with mobile, landline, broadband and electricity for £45".

Details details. Who cares about the details? If you can get those services for £45, why does it matter? Show me some other way of getting those services for £45, because nothing else is important. This is a money-saving site, right?
