I'm sure she is ashamed of the bahviour of the "usual two". I'm also sure that the "usual two" she referred to do not include me, Keggs or MBS. Just come across another website mentioning that UWDC now pay an additional 2p pkWh generated on top of the government scheme for Feed-in-Tariffs.
I had solar panels installed approx 2 1/2 weeks ago, so I'm now enjoying income from that too, enhanced by UWDC of course. :j0 -

Well...... you do make misleading claims, and you do resort to personal abuse, (as does Keggs) which was the point of the post!0 -

Referring to UW customers as 'fools' could also be classed as abuse! I don't appreciate being seen as a fool!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Well you are certainly not a 'fool' as, realising how much you were being charged by UW for gas and electricity, moved to another Utility company!
But I'm still a customer of UW and Q thinks they are 'fools' or 'busy fools!'
Some may still call me a fool, I am a EDF customer you know!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Just been thinking about what Cardew said and it got me wondering.
When I was a UW gas and Elec customer I was paying roughly £5.00 per month more to UW than the next cheapest tariff (low user). If I came on here and said I was thinking of moving to EDF to save my £5.00 per month would it get recommended. Reading other posters comments on EDF, the total lack of customer service, the inability to contact anybody, the crazy direct debits, the lack of bills etc.. Would it really be worth the hassle for £5.00 per month or would I still be seen as a 'fool' just for being with UW and paying a little extra, but knowing I could contact them, get monthly accurate bills and not have to worry about getting in debit or them taking huge direct debits without warning me?
Seems to me at the moment that the 'fools' are changing to EDF without researching more than the price. I suppose if the bottom line is cost and of you don't care about customer service or any service in the case of some poor people switch to EDF!
Just to add I've not had any problems (touch wood) with EDF but after reading threads on here, many people regret switching to them.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

It's very rare that the absolute cheapest of anything gives the best results. It becomes a false economy if you have a problem and no-one answers the phone or cares about their customers post-signup.
Yes, I've been there too in the past.
My experience so far with UW Customer Services has been excellent. In fact I spent about 45 mins on the line to the techie guys on Monday when I couldn't understand how to program my new HTC to get the data working. I felt so sorry for the guy having to take me through step by step, screen by screen to get the correct details in my phone! He was so patient and I kept entering things wrong and then forgot to save the settings, so he had to do it all again! Such a star he was, bless him.0 -

No. That's not true.
Where have I posted that I think UW customers are "fools"?
I have used the term "busy fool" (correctly) when answering claims from the reps that UW energy is actually cheap if we would only look at the whole picture, and take into account the "savings" to be gained by buying and using the risky UW card to reduce the bill.0 -

Well, I know you've read my posts regarding EDF and the absolutely non-existent CS! I'm sure they are cheaper but until they actually manage to bill me for my gas (I joined many months ago) I can't be absolutely sure. I'm with 'backfoot' on this one; their system is unfit for purpose and OFGEM should have stopped them recruiting further customers until it was fully sorted. Knowing what I know now, no way is £5/mth cheaper than UW worth going to that useless company for! No chance. In fact, my gas if going back to UW (UW electricity no good for us as we are high users).
We'ev also had it brought home to us just how good UWs CS is when we got a T Mobile Blackberry PAYG SIM for one of our sons. The offers they advertised never materialised and no matter how hard we try (VERY!) we haven't managed to get through to a human being yet! Appalling. It does sort of make you realise UW customers should be thankful for the CS they are provided with. In my experience it's easily the best I've ever encountered.0
