It was good for me, it has been bad for other people.
Just like British Gas, NPower, E.On, and all the others.

Some people find it good, and some find it less good.

Try to obtain all of the FACTS (hint: you don't find very many of those on this forum) and make your own determination.

If the worst comes to the worst, the services have no minimum contract term (unless you take a mobile phone handset) so if you're not happy they can be cancelled without fear of being tied in to a lengthy contract with punitive charges.

    Good luck deciding.

Depends on what you want. They are not the cheapest for electricity & gas as you can get better prices on line but aren't bad for phones & broadband. Up to a couple of months ago I had the best value for me because I use the pre payment card to good effect. But, I've done my numbers and found a deal that outweighs the card's value for my electricity & gas use. It is still well worth my while sticking with the mobile, home phone & broadband deal I've got though.

You need to work out your own figures as the comparison sites will give a good indication but not the complete picture for you as an individual. If you spend a reasonable amount in Sainsbury's or Asda, it may be worth your while using the card to keep the utility costs down. Don't be persuaded by nay sayers or evangelists, just go with the facts and your own preferences. Don't forget to include the monthly membership fee in your calculations.

I'm currently having some issues with the UW billing for electricity supply at my apartment and some issues with meters installed and not working etc. Is this the best place to post the full account for advice? wanted to check before composing a lengthy post.

    thanks

If the issue is 'UW specific' then it is best to post here.

However if a more general point on 'meters installed and not working' then it is probably better to start a new thread.
  • I've been approached by a friend to have a look at UW. I'm not averse to MLMs per se but need to be assured about the quality of the product. What questions would you suggest I ask the rep? What seem to be the biggest difficulties people have with UW?
    Thanks

Some would say the prices, others would say these are offset by the generous cashback card, but you probably know all this already.

How many personal customers have YOU got? How many customers in your downline? How long has this taken? What outlay have you had to make to get those customers? How does the payment plan work, exactly? Do I still get paid if I stop customer gathering? What support is there for me from the team? Not an exhaustive list but should give you some ideas.

The biggest difficulty is expecting too much too soon. Your family and friends will likely be highly resistant to buying from you and you'll likely find going straight to your cold market easier. You need to become immune to getting "noes" as people are rejecting the offer, not you personally.

I gave up on the company because I am comfortable and couldn't be bothered to do the work. I ended up getting paid a small amount per month for work I did eight years ago. That dried up last month and I stopped being an ID. I hope this helps.

Joining UW has been a life changing experience for me... (sorry found this post by accident). I don't see why everyone shouldn't share there benefits.

By life changing do you mean you have become an independant distributor?

Otherwise I can hardly think that paying very high prices for your gas and electricity is 'life changing'.

Just check any comparison website to confirm the high prices.
