I dont promote this but am a customer. Just wondering if it really is more economical. I get my phone through it too. Im just not sure anymore. I have gas, electric and phone. I dont use the cashback card. Do you need to use these to make this worthwhile???

    Noone can tell you that.
I'd suggest you use a comparison site and work out the figures for yourself.

    This is MSE opinion.

    "Is Utility Warehouse any good?

This is a commonly asked question, as unlike most energy companies and resellers Utility Warehouse operates by network marketing, which means its customers are encouraged to sell on the product to their friends and they get commission for it.
This tends to mean it does well on feedback charts, as customers have a vested interest, and many of them are evangelical about the firm. That in itself doesn't make the product bad, but in our view it is no better or worse than any other energy provider.
Utility Warehouse's prices are included in all the main comparison services we list; therefore if the company turns out to be cheapest for you it should be listed by the comparison sites, and then it's worth going for.
The main pitch of Utility Warehouse is that you can also get cheap mobile, broadband and home phones with it and that reduces the fee. In general we find that using the standalone cheapest providers undercuts this, so always compare with those before signing up to it. See the cheap home phones, cheap broadband and cheap mobiles guides for more. "

If there was any message they might have sent it to 1carminestocky, or Operastar or Carespress; you really can't expect them to send information to all your multiple personalities;)

My dad was stopped by a girl from the Utility Warehouse at a classic car show. He came back and told us he had passed on his details to them, thinking it was a great deal. I was thinking it would be a pyramid scheme or something as i'd never heard of them. Now he has switched and we have heard from BT saying they have had request to stop their service which seems to include stopping the use of the phone line! I think we will be signed up to Utility warehouse's ohone and broadband packages. How is this any good? How will the internet work?? That is what I am most worried about!!

Unless your dad has requested a MAC from BT then you'll also be stuck with a £30 cease charge.
Does he even know what he has signed up for?

UW broadband comes from Carhone Warehouse TA Opal, Energy comes from N Power, and the prepay Mastercard from Clydsdale bank.

I doubt he does to be honest. He just wants to save money. My mum usually pays for the broadband and calls and him the line rental. He has said that will change, but I doubt he cares about the service received as he hardly ever uses the internet at home, only me and mum really. I just hope there is no disruptions to the service whilst it is being changed over. It is important to me to have a good connection, we currently have Tiscali I think, not that brilliant but fine for our use. What is this Carphone Warehouse broadband? Didn't even know they did home broadband! What is the broadband speed? I'm currently unemployed and need the internet to look for work! I'm living at home with my parents right now, but hoping to get a job elsewhere in the country.

With 3 people in the house it is a fair bet that you will be paying some of the highest gas and electrical prices in UK.

Check it out on a comparison website.

Your father was probably told they 'guarantee' low prices. That is the Triple Value Guarantee which is just a joke. - read the small print!!
